Tennessee taxpayers shouldn’t be a blank check for big corporations.
FedEx is asking for yet another tax break. Even lawmakers are saying enough is enough.
It’s time to put taxpayers first, demand accountability, and stop the cycle of corporate handouts.

The bill was moved behind the budget.
This bill closes that loophole and using the revenue generated to give all families a break at the grocery store when it is needed more than ever.
This comes on top of reports from Dept of Revenue for multiple years showing that 60% of corporations filing in TN are paying ZERO in the state corporate income tax, or excise tax, including many companies that report over $1 Billion in revenue to the federal government.
Last year, more than $1.6 billion was given in a tax cut by the state legislature. Fedex received the most, filing for its parent company and 12 subsidiaries. They are allowed to do this because we don’t require combined reporting.
This bill generates revenue to replace this tax through worldwide combined reporting, a study by the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy shows it will generate almost $900,000,000.
