Most of the soldiers are from the left bank.

The left bank, Transnistria, hasn’t been Moldova’s territory in reality. The left bank’s history prior to 1940 was part of Ukraine’s unlike for most of Moldova that came from Romania.
At no point since the very moment of the dissolution of the Soviet Union could Georgia join NATO. This is unlike for Ukraine that could have until 2014. The 2008 War was not about NATO.
This is entirely Tbilisi’s fault for sending their Soviet “trained” soldiers where they committed atrocities against the non-Georgian population & any the Georgians that defended their non-Georgian friends & family.
It’s not crazy. The Abkhazians aren’t the ones that started the war in 1992. The State Council did over kidnappings done by pro-Gamsakhurdia forces & supposed railway attacks. They were the ones going to be expelled by the Georgians.
Georgia already lost South Ossetia as a result of their own chauvinism in the 90s. www.washingtonpost.com/archive/poli...
That faction is responsible for deceiving our State Department to have no idea what Ivanishvili said in September 2024, where Ivanishvili’s apology was to the Ossetians & not to the Russians.
Saakashvili has long praised & defended Trump since 2012. He is privileged enough to have continued internet access despite the crimes & abuses that happened under his government.
There has not been millions of Georgians marching against their own government. Putting pressure on their government, they will perceive it as harassment of them. There has been a faction that knows how to play the media. Their government is anti-Saakashvili & anti-UNM, a stance we should have.
Funny, she has “make Russia small again” in her bio but she is actually opposed to consider all options in making Russia small. You guys need to remember Stalin was a Georgian & a lot of the Caucasus had suffered because of it.
In hindsight many of you are going to resent the Georgians especially Saakashvili’s faction for wasting your time while Ukraine is being invaded by Russia. Many are going to wish that they had berated the Georgians using Russia to obscure their ill will intentions towards their Caucasian neighbors.
With the pride & stubbornness present across Eastern Europe & the Caucasus, no one is going to accept this lazy copout. bsky.app/profile/east...
Yes they are. The people the Ossetians are united & are a package deal. You think the administrative lines serves to actually divide them? It doesn’t. Russia didn’t invade South Ossetia. Saakashvili of Georgia did.
The left bank wants to be independent from Moldova & they have been for over 30 years. Why do you want to hinder the politics of Chisinau & prevent further integration of Moldova with Romania by trying to maintain Stalin’s administrative lines?
How about Ossetia? North Ossetia & South Ossetia are a package deal & they won’t submit to the Georgians ever again. How Avaristan & Lezgistan? Their homelands were cut in half by Stalin/Moscow during the Soviet Union. Aliyev of Azerbaijan has used Avars & Lezgin as cannon fodder against Armenians.
No, it was autonomous republic within Russia’s union republic. If Chechnya was part of Georgia SSR or Azerbaijan SSR & they still desired independence, you would support them being crushed in the name of territorial integrity.
Then you support Russians in crushing the Chechens as well as continue what was initially Russia’s policy in the isolation of Abkhazia & condoning South Ossetia to be attacked by Georgian ultranationalists since 1991. When a country like San Marino is in Europe, it renders your point to be idiotic.
Okay, I’ll make it simple for you since you can’t read. Stop being historically ignorant & stop being a Stalinist.
You realize the left bank of the Dniester River is not under Russian occupation? The left bank was administratively part of Moldova because of Stalin. The Ukrainian volunteers supported the left bank because it was of Ukraine. Are you an unknowing Stalinist?
Since you take Wikipedia as a legit source, Krasnoselsky’s views are anti-communist and very much a reflection Ukraine’s views about being under the Soviets but also the history of the left bank in general. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vadim_K...
Tiraspol has taken on supporting Ukrainian refugees since the start of the full scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. youtu.be/2PgYzBDUs1A?...
During this time, Tiraspol had ordered their military to countermand/resist orders from Russians that were trying to relocate/destroy weaponry in the left bank. Putin was trying to make his Kozak Memorandum appealing to Moldova which he pressured Tiraspol to accept. web.archive.org/web/20230307...
Really? According to this Tiraspol was giving weapons to the Chechens in the 2000s. Dr. Paulo Sartori, an Italian Interpol Liaison Officer assigned to Romania at 16:30 in the video, spoke about how they sold weapons to various groups. He named the Chechens first. youtu.be/_KKtD4nmFac?...
That map shows area was part of Ukraine.
You realize Ukrainians were supporting the left bank because it was part of Ukraine?
President Snegur had ordered for the disarmament of the armed forces of the left bank. "As God is my witness, I never wanted bloodshed, (but) the hour has come when we can no longer delay putting our own house in order in the way that we consider proper”. www.latimes.com/archives/la-...
Where was the left bank of the Dniester River prior to 1940? Was the area part of Ukraine SSR or part of the Kingdom of Romania?
Saakashvili would discreetly extradite Chechen refugees into the hands of the Russians which caused the refugee population in Pankisi Gorge to flee for the safety of Europe.
Shevardnadze & Yeltsin implemented a Russian blockade around Abkhazia. In 1999 Shevardnadze had his own change of heart where he became largely protective of Chechen refugees which had angered Putin. Putin would seek the removal of Shevardnadze with supporting Saakashvili.
