I worked for Alaska Job Corps and watched it equip students with skills they could take back to their villages. They gained skills by which they could make a living. This is a loss that will reverberate through Alaska’s small communities.

Our preschool has a brand new fence, and it took less than a week for kids to discover they can ring the playground bell by rocking the fence back-and-forth.

At the end of the school day, this rainbow appeared where Mt Mansfield would be, if the mountain were not hidden by layers of atmosphere.
