USA had zero business winning that gold, but I’m super stoked they did. What a game from Hellebuyck.

If you think calling me a turd would help… you’re correct.
Typically for snow days, I just take the day off and play with my daughter, but a half inch of ice doesn’t sound like a fun play environment.
All three of us working from home for the day.
Kiddo tried so hard to stay up and watch the entire Penn State Wrestling match against Iowa. She made it long enough to watch the first period of her favorite wrestler (Greg Kerkvliet), but then went to bed. Dominate performance by Cael’s team.
A rare date night for the wife and I this weekend. Got to go to Elk Creek in Millheim, PA for dinner and drinks and to watch Ma’am put on a fun show.
Pulled this guy out of a tire this weekend. Must have been the universe telling me “hey… you’ve put off new tires for long enough. Get a move on.”
I couldn’t get my mind off Munster cheese. The fact the blue was there didn’t help.
I can't stand that. There are a few shows like that. I believe last year, I was on the fence about attending ASMS and figured I'd check out the technical program. I had to register for the event before I would get access to the titles and abstracts... ummmm, wtf?
Days like today have me missing my summer time backyard.
This is not normal, or natural, or inevitable. youtu.be/ZfBkw0j-QIs?...
Kiddo wraps up wrestling season this week, and before we know it March will be here and soccer will start back up. I’m excited to be her coach again this year.
You are correct. My bad.
Thank you. In my grad school days, I was on an NSF grant, and went through a renewal process around this same time in 2009. It didn't get halted, but that was an Obama re-election year, not an admin change, so I was curious about past years.

I'm seeing many posts about NSF panels being canceled at the last minute and a bit of panic... for those that have been a part of NSF panels for a long time now, is this typical during an administration change or is this abnormal compared to past transitions?

I largely thought I was stupid growing up because I struggled with reading. If I sat in a lecture though, boom. Instantly set in my brain. Discovering audiobooks 5 years ago was like finding a magical door to a world that I never knew existed. I now love "reading" books... even if it's with my ears.
Our engineering group found a large hole in our water neutralization holding tank along with some grey/black sludge... I get to do my typical investigation of "what went wrong and why".
I love a good murder mystery... only here it was just a big plastic tank that died.
If you went to college
1. what was your career goal when you started?
2. your initial major?
3. if you changed majors what did you change to?
4. what do you do now, professionally?
1. Become a forensic analyst/investigator
2. Biochemistry
3. Secondary education
4. Scientist for a coatings company
And not just one, but two wins! The confidence this kid has gained in herself over the past few months has been incredible. #girlswrestling #piaawrestling
One day my daughter decided that she wanted to wrestle. My wife and I know next to nothing about wrestling, but she was adamant about it. First practice in November was 57 minutes of crying and “I wanna go homes” and 3 minutes of running around. This past weekend she got her first win…
Daughter and I jam out to this all the time.

Got their calendars too for the upcoming new year. They’re phenomenal. The holidays they have on them are hilarious.
As I grow older, I identify with more “bad guys” than good ones… grinch is top of the list.

My wife would have LOVED today’s strands.
Day before thanksgiving vs thanksgiving. Both were delicious.
