Someone interviewed for job in my office today who supports Alba. There's already one which is why I haven't been open about being non-binary. Wondering if I should be out and proud and hope to change some opinions or just keep my mouth shut and stay safe. Not feeling great about it either way tbh.
Hopefully he tells them trans rights are here to stay.
I wish our politicians were saying this. Instead we've got Sarwar saying whatever he thinks will get him a nice pat on the head from his London masters, who are too busy chasing far-right votes to care about Scotland.
"But don't you guys want our money?" They are incapable of seeing things in any other terms. No, because human decency and protecting people are more important than a business making a few dollars.
Exactly this. ππ
Tell it like it is! πͺThis is what we need our politicians to be saying, not whatever they think their London Masters want to hear like Sarwar.
100% the misogyny is rife.
We're they wearing SS uniform?
I've seen John have to stop and engage with lots of eejits he would never agree with. If he had an arranged meeting with them or was making supportive statements I'd feel differently but this is making a mountain out of a molehill.
Because that's the type of person he is. Stops to listen to views even if he doesn't agree with them. If he comes out after this saying anything like what they say that's a different matter but criticising the FM for spending a couple of moments to listen to a group in public doesn't help anything.
I thought they were protesting outside a venue he was entering and he stopped briefly. Not like he met with them to speak to them or it was arranged or anything.
Rachel Reeves, sweating, mashes numbers into her spreadsheet. And then it's done. Slowly, she turns her laptop screen around:
"Well I've run the numbers, and it says we should kill all the disabled people."
The cabinet nods, solemnly. A lone voice speaks:
"That's just grown-up politics"
The energy price cap has risen by Β£281 since Labour took office promising to reduce bills by Β£300. Even if they reduced bills by Β£300 immediately, that's only a reduction of Β£19 annually compared to July 2024. If you're a pensioner who lost the winter fuel payment, you'd still be Β£181 worse off.
Superfast broadband for 11,000 rural homes
The SNP Scottish Government is delivering superfast broadband for 11,000 homes and business in the Borders and East Lothian.
Itβs the first of many contracts that will bring faster internet to thousands of premises across Scotland.
I know a member who has 13 unanswered complaints to HQ against JC. Some members did try.
Sturgeon said: "By making us poorer, they'll say we can't afford to be independent. By cutting our trade with the EU, they'll say we are too dependent on the rest of the UK. By causing our population to fall, they'll say the country is ageing too fast. They want us to believe we are powerless..." π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ
"Knowing what we know now"?? Nothing has changed. Except folk people trusted capitulating to far-right forces. This is grim, even for Labour.
My son did this one time when he was about 10 and his brothers found it hilarious so we all said it at the school gate every day for about 6 months π
My sister in law is 6ft tall, should she be banned from changing rooms too?

Repost if you agree.
In 2021 the Scottish people voted to hold a 2nd referendum. Pro-indy parties won more seats and more votes than pro-union parties.
If the UK was a real democracy, preparations for a 2nd referendum would have begun immediately.
He'd have been kicked out years ago if it wasn't for his name.

Lets end harmful conversion practices in Scotland today.

Thanks. It's just recycled homophobia isn't it? The exact same narrative as not wanting to share a changing room with a lesbian because that would make her feel unsafe and vulnerable to sexual assault. It's not about the actions of BU at all but the nurse's own bigotry.
Thanks, this makes things really clear.
I don't understand the sexual harassment element - was there an allegation? On what basis? I thought SP had stated in court that BU had don't nothing wrong, it was merely the presence of a trans woman she objected to? Is that what's being called harassment?
Graphic with a red to black gradient background. At the top it says 'Roses are red, Violets are blue, Do what you're told,' surrounded by small pink and red hearts at either side. Below this is an illustration of a cracked pink heart with an arrow through it. In the heart it says 'and don't be you.'. Below this it says 'LGBT+ Conversion practices are abuse.' At the bottom of the graphic is a qr code and the Equality Network logo.
This Valentine's Day we have digital billboards across the city centres of Glasgow & Aberdeen, and a digital ad van in Edinburgh, to raise awareness of harmful conversion practices. If you spot our ad, tag us & use #EndConversionPracticesScotland.
