swimming updates:
- still struggling to swim continuously for more than 100m
- will increase the weekly swimming sessions to 3
- next goal is to be able to swim 750m freestyle comfortably to join a sprint triathlon race (that's the blocker at the moment)

cycling updates:
- increased my FTP from ~120W to 165W
- done a +100km ride on a beautiful autumn day
- excited to get back to the road after a rainy winter
running updates:
- ran my first half-marathon last summer and almost finished under 2h. i am really happy with this result!
- having a hard time getting back to running after almost 2 months without training due to shin splints and personal life issues
i've recently started to run and my current distance PR is 6.5km. although it's "enough" for a sprint triathlon, i'm sure that running 5km after swimming and cycling will require a way higher endurance level.
the current goal is to run 10k comfortably in 12 weeks
both swimming and cycling are things i've never done in a serious manner, so the technical aspect of those is totally unknown to me – it's REALLY from ZERO
things are really far from being sorted out, honestly!
the bike I currently own is at the bike shop for maintenance, so I'll start training in a stationary bike at the gym.
also, it's a simple single speed, which might be a blocker later on if the race's terrain isn't flat
from zero to sprint triathlon: day 0
tomorrow i'll start training for a sprint triathlon race. decided to not wait until everything's sorted out and get started right away
i'll be sharing the journey here, cheers ✌️
currently i’m living the most fulfilling moment of my career
still have a lot to improve on and will definitely keep doing so, but i can proudly say, without a doubt, that i’m good enough to be working at a product like datacamp
thanks for coming to my ted talk
almost 7 years ago, i was told that i would never be a good engineer
if my state of mind had been a bit weaker at that moment, well, that would have been it — my career would’ve ended before it even started
as soon as you project your fear onto someone else, you are potentially creating a sense of limitation for them that simply doesn’t exist
don’t place your fears on others
if you think something isn’t possible, but you can’t prove it, keep that to yourself
i’ve missed seeing @danabra.mov in my timeline
checking bsky again to keep in touch with the brazilian community 🫡
