The competition's fierce, my team is winning, and the half-time show was absolutely beautiful. This is the most fun I've ever had watching the super bowl.

WELL FINE, I WILL THEN! AND I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU TO DO SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY TODAY!
I just need to lock in.
When I look at fascism throughout history I regularly think "this happened bc the population protested and resisted the secret police too much. I wish they had chilled out, demonstrated proper civility so as not to earn the already occurring oppression, and let the fascist lose the next election
I wrote an article today discussion my opinions on the adversarial nature of a "GM vs. players" mindset, the origins of my Loom game system, and more. Check it out!

well if you're not up to playing a full 64, clayfighter 63 1/3rd is a pretty iconic entry in the series.

Still looking for someone, haven't found a single person so far (that I can contact). I have a 46-episode script that I need translated. This would be a paid job!
This bundle has Clawhammer Games' 2 recent crowdfunded projects, Before The Flood and Gravemire.
I did layout on those so I'm a bit biased, but imho they're excellent games with focused design that offer unique experiences.
& you'd be helping the coolest librarian I've met unban books, so...
Jane Goodall, ethologist and conservationist, has died. She was 91
Give folks their flowers
No, I mean right now. Go tell someone you loved their work right now. They're on social media just say it, it has never been easier
"They know how much people love--" no they don't go say it right now to a composer or artist or game dev or writer or anyone AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
Whoah. I've never really understood birding as a hobby but if you can take shots like that, yea, it makes sense now. The mallards!
Hrmmm, yes. All those years wasted searching for a lake monster and it turns out they just needed better swan photographers.
(The photos have an excellent mood to them, btw. The way the water sparkles work with the dark backdrop in the second one... definitely a vibe. What are you shooting with?)
Wait so. Do swans... live near Loch Ness?
Cancel most of your streaming services. Keep 1 or 2 at a time and rotate them out every few months to see the stuff you want to see, even if it's later on. Rent DVDs from libraries. Use the money you save to buy more physical media and go out to dinner at locally owned restaurants with your friends.
Situate design and play within the body. You are an animal, making games for other animals.
Embrace the weirdness of the body. We're snotty, hungry, leaky, horny animals that are easily frustrated, excited, and startled.

In case you don't know, in my day job, I am a librarian. And September is library card signup month!
I've put together a bundle of all of Clawhammer's offerings for $10. Half of the proceeds will be donated to Unite Against Book Bans. Please consider spreading the word!

Somewhat hilariously, YouTube's restricted mode hides my most recent video on reading game guides, but DOESN'T hide my video on the Nuremberg Trials.
My major takeaway is DON'T SELF-CENSOR YOUR OWN WRITING. You don't know what will or will not be restricted!! Do not comply in advance!!!
There was a gorgeous dyke/trans bar called "Le Monocle" in 1930s Paris. Monocles were a bit like wearing a pride flag among the queer people assigned female at the time, like in this colorized 1937 photo. Nazis shut down the bar during the war, but many patrons stayed in touch for years after. 🧐
order of operations if you like someone’s art & want to share it:
1. share directly from artist’s account (retweet, reblog, quote, etc.)
2. if no artist account, post with link to artist elsewhere
3. if no link, write attribution
no attribution? no post 🚫
