In 2D X+ is sideways, but if you're in Marios head suddenly it's forward! Though I guess I just convinced myself that Y up is sensible with this logic too...

Having used mostly Unreal for the past decade and a half...it doesn't feel too wild to me! And Z up just always made more sense to me.

Looks nicer especially in the darker screens where those different angles catch the light.

What's the rest of the game look like? Other clouds and smoke and fog and such. The pixels seem more fun at a glance though.
