It’s the lie they’ve peddled for forty years, so kinda hard to backtrack now. Gotta keep on grifting and lying any way they can.

Our team received a report of intermittent app outages at about 11:40pm PDT on April 15, 2026. They worked through the night to mitigate a sophisticated Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack, which intensified throughout the day.

France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.

Equals 10 nuclear reactors
Reduces heat island, shades cars

The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.

Why aren't we doing this?

My cousin, also a farmer in SD, switched to doing regenerative farming years ago. Better soil health, bigger harvests. Convincing his friends and neighbors that it’s a better way instead of “farming” the government has been challenging. Maybe now they’ll pay attention.

I’ve had the same thought.

And that’s what a $100M donation from the American oil companies gets. Not that he would purposely start a war in the Middle East over oil just because he got a bribe, er “contribution”, right?

In France, legislation came into effect recently for all car parks that have over 80 spaces to be covered with solar panels. Estimated to add around 11GW of renewable energy capacity to the national grid. Why not do likewise in Scotland? Braehead, Silverburn, Glasgow Fort etc.

From what I recall, that was only after BP refused to the audit and refused to hire and train Iranian engineers to help run the plant.

Despite Apocalyptic Warnings, California Fast Food Wage Hike Didn’t Kill Jobs UC Berkeley study finds employment held steady — and only pennies were added to menu prices.

So it turns out paying people a living wage doesn’t collapse the economy; it’s almost like the rich have been lying to us to maintain their power over our lives.

A really great book on that period is “All the Shah’s Men”, by Stephen Kinzer. Very engaging and enlightening.

Yes, because BP had agreed to give Iran a paltry 3% of the profits, and Mosaddegh just wanted to make sure they were doing so.

Chinese carmaker BYD unveils a recharge as fast as filling up with petrol. And no need to wear gloves.

Certainly not coming to a forecourt near you in America because the fossil fuel giants and their puppets in government like making lots and lots of cool money from easily-conned petrolheads.

Read “All the Shah’s Men”. It’s an excellent primer on the history of Us and British interests in Iran, primarily those of BP wanting to control Iran’s vast oil reserves.

Same. My last annual maintenance was tire rotation, wiper fluid and new wiper blade. and the annual inspection only cost $10!

And people wonder why studying the classics is important! I’ve quoted Ozymandias countless times since the felon returned to office. It reminds us that this, too, shall pass, as it has before. And that throughout history greedy tyrants exist, but they all fall into irrelevance eventually.

BP, ExxonMobil et Al have always wanted Irans oil. Gave Trump millions for his 2024 election. in my opinion, all the war with Iran is just a cockup so the western energy companies can finally get their hands on the oil. Everything else is bluster (and lives lost, sadly).

Both of my computers have been doing that for a while. None of the geniuses at MS figured mine out either. Hope the astronauts fare better. I’m assuming they’ll get to speak with the supervisor’s supervisor. 😉

I’m in a highly competitive field, but I’ll be selling a multi-pronged platform. Instruction, information and seminars. If you have a deep knowledge of what you are selling just think of many other ways to connect with people. That said, it‘s still challenging to change gears later in life.

Just like when the disgruntled plebe shot Arch Duke Ferdinand, there was no immediate realization as to what would come next. But the powder keg had been primed, and WWI lasted 4 years and cost tens of millions lives. Let’s hope people have a bit more sense today.

Almost every small business owner I know is seeing a big drop in clients. All I can say is “chin-up”. If you’ve run a small business for any length of time, it means you have grit, tenacity and resilience. My next venture will have a stronger online component rather than in person sales.

Been in business 22 years. Hanging it up shortly. Sales were down 40% last year, and another 25% this year. The math is no longer mathing as costs are all up, some by 500%. 2021-2024 I saw double digit growth year over year. Single-handedly destroyed it in a matter of months.

I think you mean that he’s potentially risking his lucrative speaking engagements and post-career business opportunities by talking very gently about immigration, and most men wouldn’t risk the loss of income to do so. Pretty low bar for courage IMO.

Give your key defenses and fortress cities to Russia which has been unable to take them in 12 years of fighting, and then we who are acting to strengthen Russia will pretend to help you protect the rest of your country. This is shameful, rotten, and stinks of corruption.
