I never went near a DVD recorder, I think as you say there were not 100% prefect. The worse we have seen for VHS tapes has been 2019... That just WOW..
I think people should have stopped using VHS tapes in 2005, by then cheap Freeview USB recorder where available. It can get very depressing spotting an 1980s tape and then finding ITV2 from 2005 on it ๐คข
However this clip has depressed me, 20 years ago.. It feel like it could have been only a few years ago.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVGW...
we love those types of ppl, not like those Anul type ppl who were right down the second cut ads and pres etc.. Some ppl were really bad for that. Your got some nice clips, this one which is last months of STV slide before "ITV" replaced by STV in aug. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiHy...
He should have gotten a job in the Phillipe's factory, that how alot of ppl in the area got VCRs, in that part of the world. ๐ other problem with 90s Tapes is there quality at times were Disgraceful. Tape from 1980 Very HQ, Tapes from Tape from 2000 piss water...
Well up until the late 80s tapes were very costly, so only the rich could afford alot of tapes, Follow the tape and you can see who had all the money, which doesn't help certain areas, worse still certain areas are awful for tapes for certain years like 1991 or 1998. it easier at times for 1981!
The binmen wont be happy with you then with all those tapes :D Were just clearing off a blacklog then but we concluded that alas the number of tapes is drying up, it will get harder. I dread to think how many tapes just went straight to landfill!!!
What will you be watching on BBC1 this evening? MOTD? Rockford files or eve Val Donnican?
Always start at the end rewind back so you will NEVER be disappointed.. You might have some real gold from the kids channels.
DAM!!
Keep a note of that Toon Head episode as there rather RARE! @regularcapital.bsky.social
Two full ad breaks from (we think) the ATV region on 1st August 1981, during Seagull Island. Products on offer include Dairy Milk, Carling Black Label, and Anadin, which together probably make for the perfect weekend for some. Nice brief Raiders of the Lost Ark trailer, too. youtu.be/tsdLukk0R-s
30 years ago Chris Evan TFI Friday got Father Ted In to help promote the return of the series, However the TFI Crew are not really a mad bunch of people. TFI returns to Channel 4 tonight once again.
