Our story places Death deities at the protagonists, so religion is a part of the narrative. I find myself grappling with my own beliefs as we write this, but I'm not surprised. We're writing about mortality and the afterlife, and world-building questions also cause some self-reflection #PretendPanel

We read about it for research purposes, of course, but I also like seeing it played with in fiction. Stories that play with myth, folklore, and religion fascinate me, because they reveal so much about the place and people they're tied to

MASSACHUSETTS, call your Senator! This bill that seems good but is bad. It's poorly worded and too vague, meaning there will be an inordinate amount of overreach and sites that should be readily accessible to all ages will have to require an ID to access. Tell your senator to vote it down!

They both want to save a missing uni student who was kidnapped under similar circumstances as Naveena. Naveena wants Tylor to remember his past lives. Tylor wants to learn more about his powers and the world (and would like to not have to change too much in response but too bad)

Naveena starts with a laughing, hopeful heart that quickly gives way to a stomach churning with fear and survivor's (?) guilt. Tylor is sent reeling at first, but once settled, he has to contend with balancing a breathless desire to explore coupled with a stern determination to focus #AprilAdventure

Naveena loves adventure, as long it's fun and has great company. Tylor likes the idea of adventures, but only if they don't involve people. Unfortunately for them, this is not fun, brings tons of people into their path, and forces them to face their biggest traumas and fears. Yay~ #AprilAdventure
