I'd envisioned that the work would tell a story but, as I'd never actually seen it as a whole, it was a bit of a gamble that paid off!

When I arrived at PMRCAA, just outside of Sisters, I wasn’t greeted by the trope of a postcard-perfect Western landscape, but rather by acrid air and smoke-draped mountains — a study in desaturated hues and a reminder of the increasing impact of climate change on the land and us.
It's all about the patterns — the repeated motifs gleaned from nature or emplyed to organize our human/social experiences and context. bioDIVERSITY Quartet (Boundaries, Desire & Need, Underfoot, Remnants), now on view at Lane Community College's Roger all Gallery through March 20.
