My brain is wired strangely: if I plan too closely, I lose all motivation ๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm sorry, but @funkittoys.bsky.social is out here coming up with some of the most charming, imaginative sex toys ever. This is just so gloriously whimsical.

It's a very basic outline! I'm barely prepared at all!

I just wrote an outline. Don't tell anyone; they'll take away my pantser card.

*pops out of the wilderness*

My new story is out today!! ๐Ÿฅณ (My first pro sale! ๐Ÿ˜Ž) "Those Who Dare" was an exercise in whiplash minimalism. It drew on my own personality...

I hope you enjoy it. :) gavagai.com/posts/2444

WORD, not world. D'oh. And I wasn't even dictating!

Possibly silly idea, but could you use a real-world-but-one-you're-unlikely-to-use-otherwise as codenames for each character, and then go back at the end and find/replace?

Congratulations! Amazing! ๐Ÿคฉ

You cut off the next line, where God says "I need you to pee in this cup, because you might have chlamydia"

If you're in the US, not near 'Gay's The Word' in London, you can buy Arthur's book online. It looks really cute! ๐Ÿคฉ

Rereading some of my older books, as I flirt with the idea of writing a sequel. Pleasantly surprised to discover that I don't hate them (even if there are aspects I'd probably approach differently now) but also wondering if I'll be able to slip back into that particular voice again.

This is both a relief and also ominous.

In my ignorance, I enjoy that this could be a reference to a song, a band, a festival, a new designer drug, a liquor sold in a bottle shaped like one of the Real Housewives, or a sex act I should probably already know about.

Fair! I did once try to learn a Stray Kids dance, and almost sprained my entire back in the process.

He truly is. And, from the handful of interviews I've read, he also comes across as a genuinely lovely person. For selfish reasons I hope we see him in more BL stuff, but he definitely deserves roles with wider visibility.

I can't help but spot things I wish I could change, and the knowledge that it's too late gnaws at me. But my memory is dire, so if I don't re-read I will absolutely get all the details wrong in the sequel ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ha, definitely option 2!

Unfortunately I now need to re-read some of my previous books, so I can get back up to speed for writing a sequel. I see cringing and "why did I do it that way?!" in my future...

Now imagining a beautiful heat map showing all the lovely gender fluidity with different book preferences overlaid and gurgling to myself with quiet pleasure.

Monday thoughts... I would be fascinated to know the gender breakdown of people reading my books. I don't think I'd write any differently, based on that data, but I'm mighty curious.
