Kieri: In order to understand my family, first I need to tell you about what life is like in Heaven. For Median souls, it is a comfortable, peaceful place to spend their afterlives. It is different for Angels We have many rules we must obey in order to uphold Mother Gaia's Order. Heaven is like a large city that floats high in the air, surrounded by clouds in an endless sky. Mother Gaia stays at the top of the a giant tower at the center of everything. Medians stay on the lower levels and inside the bottom, where it's safest. Angels live on floating islands surrounding the tower. Like the other great warrior clans, the Suizahns live on a family estate on one of the highest islands.

Alessandra is several miles tall and standing perilously close to downtown San Francisco, having just taken a couple steps out of the Pacific Ocean.
