Science fiction is an existential metaphor...
Science fiction is an existential metaphor... YouTube video by REDUX

> [Sci-Fi] is an existential metaphor that allows us to tell stories about the human condition. [Asimov] once said, "Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever [...], but the core of science fiction, its essence, has become crucial to our salvation, if we are to be saved at all."

I just don't think people understand what bluesky runs on. atproto is the most data open platform that's ever existed, it's all out there, I don't need an API token to do anything, I'll pdsls you all day

99% of the people on this site can't code, but i'm sure many of them could find use in custom feeds. how do you make this feature otherwise? also, this is obviously throwaway code, as people's interests change, they leave platform, etc. this is literally the perfect situation for a feature like this

i really don't like the buzzword "agentic" generally speaking, especially in this context given it just means "it's gonna write a bit of code", but pals this isn't about dumping slop into the network, it's a feed builder, a glorified search engine working on live streaming data

lotta clueless frustrating takes about attie

god forbid someone make it easy to make a feed for like "show me posts about tsgo / TypeScript 7" or "show me posts about Go performance", two things i acutally want but do not have the skill to make nor the desire to host

e.g. on the tsgo repo, I look like i'm sort of programming god, but no, it's because the project started private so no forks, and I just haven't changed my personal workflow and moved my branches

probably more important is that at some point the repo started squash merging changes, and people more and more started working on code in forks rather than on branches in the main repo

Fun fact, the original @frame.work bezel has adhesive attaching it to the screen
