🔭 Good Morning, yesterday evening another beautiful opportunity to take a look at the moons terminator.
Lunar V and Lunar X as seen yesterday through my Bresser Messier 203/1218 Dobson. (18mm, 6,7mm +filter)

Close up of the edge (terminator) of the moon.
🔭 Interesting for European Observers with clear sky. Watch the Hesiodus Ray at the moon tonight 25.2.26 (Approximately 22.30- 0.30h)
You’ll find it ->
White sketch and writing on black background. Right side a circle. In the circle white dots in different sizes. Their positions assemble the shape of a christmas tree. The writing says 23/ 24.12.2025 23.40- 0.10 h Weihnachtsbaum Cluster (Christmas Tree Cluster) Hildegard 8“ Dob 26mm SP Weihnachtsbaumcluster Konus Nebel (nebular) NGC 2264
🔭This years Christmas is over but I’d like to share a sketch I took the Night of 23./24. December.
Thought I’d try a Christmas Special.
8“ Dob, 26mm SP eyepiece, Pencil Sketch, inverted to negative by PS
White paper, pencil sketch. On the right a big circle. Almost in the middle of the circle is a smaller circle (Jupiter)with two diffuse almost parallel stripes crossing from left to right. A dot sits at the right edge of Jupiter. That’s the moon Europa. Another small black dot on the upper stripe of Jupiter shows Europas shadow. Left of Jupiter there are two more black dots plus one more to the right. Left side of picture shows a handwritten note: 17.12.2025 Jupiter and its moon Europa and its shadow. 22.20 h- 23.20 hHildegard (name of my Teleskope) 8“ Dob, 6.7 eyepiece
🔭
Yesterday evening Moon Europa cast a shadow on Jupiters surface.
Though seeing conditions weren’t good I was able to watch this for the first time!
Since I don’t do Astrophotography here’s my sketch.

Awesome!
🔭 For all European stargazers with clear skies tonight. Take a look at the
„Pitatus Strahl“ (Pitatus Ray). Tonight 13./14.11.2025

Thank You. I think you’re right. It seems to be part of the Humboldt crater.
I hope weather will be clear when this part of the terminator will be visible next time.
Thank you.
I found Adams and the related craters.
You’re right, that’s the region I was looking at.
But I think it’s something „behind“ the
the crater north of Adam’s.
Looked like the head of a rose in a bowl.
(Tried to sketch it, but difficult when observing with a Dobson)
Picture of white greyish moon against pitch black background. At the right side of the moon details are visible at the edge.
Left side of picture part of the curved edge of the moon against pitch black background. The line is not smooth but shows different structures. An added pink arrow points to a little detail at the lower right edge/ terminator of the moon.
🔭Waning Gibbous Moon yesterday evening, November 6th 2025.
Does anybody know which mountain or mountain range this little rose shaped silhouette at the terminator belongs to?

🔭 Beautiful RAGDA (Red Arc with Green Diffuse Aurora) on the evening of Oktober 18th. The green spots of RAGDA were moving, appearing and disappearing pretty fast and easily visible by the naked eye.

Only to be prepared for the beautiful X 1.8 Flare on the sun, that just happened tonight.
For the nights to come, worth a listen:
Bottom black silhouette of shrubs an gras against night sky with a few prominent stars. The horizon a bit lighter. From bottom left to upper right the sky shows a cone shaped shine.
🔭 End of September, on my way to work, I stopped at my favourite star gazing field to try and take a pic of C2025 A6 Lemmon.
Though Lemmon not visible I found out later that I caught the beautiful #zodiacallight instead.

Genau unser Humor!
Hi, I’m an Amateur Astronomer exploring the Universe through my Bresser 8“ Dobsonian.
I live in a beautiful Bortle 3 part of Northern Germany. Streetlights still turn off at 23 h and the 🌌 is visible across the sky.
Sometimes I take pictures of Nightsky Specials as Aurora, NLCs or Zodiacal Light.
Like walking into a fairy tale. Taken this morning from Glastonbury Tor.
