When will Mason’s journalistic life on our public national broadcaster be ended?

What's clear from all the media hoo ha is none of you have ever been involved with recruitment. I volunteered with a local charity processing volunteer application forms. I was constantly hounded by various departments to see what progress was being made. It's kinda how it works.
Advertising to the world that the US army has a critical vulnerability to bio-warfare.
This needs to be highlighted to Lisa Nandy & @darrenpjones.bsky.social . The BBC is out of control, & as a government funded organisation they really do have the power to deal with such blatent bias
If you believe that Keir Starmer should resign because it has become a distraction. Fine. But. Don't pretend you are making such a call because it was unethical to appoint Mandelson. I'd wager that if this hadn't blown up in Starmer's face, it wouldn't have been labelled a mistake by many.
Emily Thornbury said he should have been sacked. OR didn't do his job. OR had a duty to report any concerns he had. In fact it is the media whipping up a story. By the way Johnson was not trusted with sensitive info & the same media defended him.
These people are ridiculous
Infectious diseases killed about two thirds of soldiers in the American Civil War, rather than actual fighting
FTLOG Sir, having sat through this whole debacle this afternoon, the only one who have let constituents down today are the oposition and your good self. This was a pointless debate taking time away from our government governing and focusing on things that really matter to us 😏
Emily Thornberry says it was right Olly Robbins was sacked after she chaired the committee. I’ll take that - can’t argue with Emily Thornberry.

“Men," he began his address to the officers, measuring his pauses carefully. "You're American officers. The officers of no other army in the world can make that statement. Think about it.”
― Joseph Heller, Catch-22
THIS!
“Mandelson is a very intelligent man” and an “enormously talented bloke,”
“I’ll work with him in Washington”.
Nigel Farage
Those were actually the only two things, but both were strikingly partial in a way that R4 didn't used to be
I couldn't give a shit about kemi and farage using mandelson as a stick to beat labour with because its in their nature, but @eddavey.libdems.org.uk should use tomorrow's pmqs to formally apologise to starmer for jumping on the bandwagon and accusing him of being as bad as the tories.
Johnson overrode advice about appointing the son of a KGB officer into the Lords.
Nothing from the media. Not a whisper.
Starmer doesn’t override advice
Media storm and a hounding of epic proportions.
As if you need a reminder, because they tell you every day, the BBC is funded by you. Funded to give Reform a constant platform
@pippacrerar.bsky.social Anyway. In other news that you seem to be incapable of even mentioning because NOT STARMER take a look at this list of horror. You may want to sit down when reading it. It’s looooooong. @dailyherald.bsky.social has done all the hard work because MSM don’t.
Since SATURDAY night, not one person with a spine has had the courage to remove Dementia Don from office??? ☠️☠️☠️🤬
Telegraph newspaper editorial on Mandelson's appointment in December 2024 versus editorial today
Trump’s son-in-law has received billions of dollars from the foreign governments that he’s negotiating with on behalf of the U.S. and Donald Trump.
To be clear: These are bribes.
This isn’t a “conflict of interest” — it’s unprecedented corruption.

I was in England when the news broke that Charlie Kirk had been shot. Their nonstop breathless coverage was as bad as #FoxNews. And they've already anointed #Farage as the presumptive PM. #FreedomOfThePress #EndCorporateMedia #DownWithTheOligarchy #BBCBias #BBCPropaganda #BBCLies #DefundBillionaires
"...MPs' duty to reflect the public anger ....." Where is this anger except in the Westminster bubble and particularly those in Labour determined to oust Starmer one way or another? In my traditionally Tory town people seem much more bothered by Trump's Iran war than Starmer's bad decisiion.
I haven't got too involved in the Mandelson discourse as I think a lot of it is Westminster personality politics and theatrics. But:
It's possible to believe both that Mandelson was a terrible appointment AND that No 10 is fair to say they should have been told the Prince of Darkness failed vetting
This morning I’ve seen Olly Robbins’s appearance before the select committee described as ‘box office’, while a commentator flagged up another key political moment with the words ‘bring the popcorn’.
That’s one of our main problems right there.
Timeline cleanse: I just got on a bus. An elderly woman was trying to pay but her card didn’t work. She was standing flustered by the driver. A boy, maybe 12 or 13 years old, who was queuing to get on said to the bus driver, “sir can I pay for her?” and then went ahead and paid for her
As I told the Tel, Ed is “the right man in the right place at the right time”. He’s got strong beliefs and he turns them into action.
