I am shaking hands with Pope Francis
I am presenting pope Francis with a gift

Three years ago today
Incredible and genuinely life shaping encounter, for which I am deeply grateful
Yesterday I did a shout out to the congregation for help developing and maintaining a spreadsheet to closely monitor our energy and water use
I have been overwhelmed with the response which is just brilliant and also reveals the deep level of spreadsheet love there is in our congregation!
Hope you enjoy the film. I loved it

Three years ago today I took the train from Manchester to Rome
The journey was spectacular, taking me through the Alps and through countries I would not normally visit. It was longer than a flight, but much more rewarding
65 days until my next epic train journey!!

Really sad to hear today of the death of a brilliant and committed eco champion in the diocese. The eco work in Manchester happens only because of the fantastic network of lay people who do the work at the grassroots. Kath was one such person and she made a real difference
May she rest in peace π

Delighted to be contributing a very small bit to the Hey! festival next week. If you are in Manchester, check it out- the whole programme looks really good
Our cathedral walks have been a source of joy. They started as a way to familiarise ourselves with the residual parish, and they have become a way to build community, with new people joining each time
Jesus spent a fair chunk of his ministry walking and eating. It's easy to see why

Dedicated to St Thomas the Apostle, who declared Jesus to be 'My Lord and My God' and, tradition has it, brought the Christian church to South India
Definitely featuring in my sermon today...

That sounds amazing - and a part of Britain I have had very little experience of
π I'm saying nothing...
*Spoiler alert*
Apparently British Anglican clergy are offered martial arts training by their union??!
Can anyone confirm this?!!

I love Pilgrimage. On the way to Holy Island, this series takes pilgrims to Durham Cathedral, where I was confirmed at the Easter dawn service
A previous series led me to do the North Wales pilgrimage. Tempted to explore the North East again...

And a deep gratitude is owed to all the vergers and musicians for all that they do. It's an incredible week, but completely consuming
π Sorry, turns out I am *that* gal
(recognising that she is missing the point of the post, whispers....Easter isn't over.....)
Agreed, much of it bothers me. It's complicated, right?!
I'm sceptical re space travel but I can't deny the light & hope Artemis II has given
The incredible imagery, the camaraderie, the accomplishment & the imagination to achieve it, all reminding me of the abundant gift & artistry in creation
Prayers for a safe return

It's Gladstone's Library in Hawarden, Wales
And I fully agree #LibrariesMatter
It is my idea of heaven. Beautiful library that is also a place where you can stay over. With a lovely restaurant when you need food. Absolutely ideal when trying to get a thesis written!
Upper floor of Gladstone's library. The mezzanine runs all around the upper floor. View of opposite mezzanine with desks and bookshelves.
