Astonishingly UK gov has awarded 34 contracts worth £900m to US-based Palantir, including a 7-year £330m contract to handle NHS patient data. There are major concerns about this, given Palantir’s links to the CIA, its contracts with the IDF, and its co-founder Peter Thiel being a major Trump donor.
The deadline for registering to vote in the Scottish election is midnight tomorrow (20 April). Many 16 & 17 year olds are not registered. Anyone over 16 resident in Scotland can vote in Scottish elections, you don't have to be a UK citizen. You can register online here

The Prime Minister should have resigned when House of Commons voted that he (and his cabinet) could not be trusted with "national security" decisions on the release of the Mandelson papers.
If House of Commons has no confidence in a PM to do that, they have no real confidence in PM at all.

If the Electoral Commission was in any way effective in fulfilling its role as the regulator for free and fair elections in the UK then it would have denied this bunch of scam artists the right to even attempt to perpetrate this fraud on Scottish voters. But it's not. IGV are on all regional lists.

It doesn’t change what I said above in the slightest - Sarwar and Labour should have recognised before now that a party you’re going to launch a fierce anti-racist attack on in TV debates is not one you can also brief the papers will be part of your path to a majority.
One thing I’ll add, having now watched that bit of the debate, is: Sarwar was really strong on attacking Reform’s racism and Offord was floundering for an answer when he came up with the line the SNP clipped above, and it would be worth everyone watching the fuller context.
