Word of the morning is ‘williwaw’ (19th century): a sudden violent squall or a toppling gust of wind.

Goes well with ‘thunderplump’: a sudden downpour that soaks you to the skin in seconds.

Immigration has not made Brits poorer.

Greedy bosses have. Greedy landlords have. Greedy life-giving-services providers (drugs, water, energy) have.

I will be there but only as I am contractually obliged to be there as your carer. I may be persuaded to recite some dirty limericks should the evening swiftly bomb like last year....

Two words for certain types of people, should you need them:

microlipet: one who gets all worked up over nothing.

struthonian: the person who buries their head in the sand and says ‘Problem? What problem?’.

Word of the day is a favourite, from old Scots.

To ‘tartle’ is to hesitate while introducing someone because you have completely forgotten their name.

‘My husband was starving and in pain when he died – he deserved a dignified death’’ Kevan Donoghue passed away after three weeks of being unable to eat or drink due to a blockage in his stomach

It's crucial to hear and share the stories of those most deeply impacted by the UK's unjust, inhumane, and unpopular assisted dying laws. Their voices deserve to be at the heart of the conversation.
