This Sierran treefrog (Pseudacris sierra) won't pose while being relocated. Getting ready to mow, I look for little creatures (and rocks). They are surprisingly loud.

Killdeer always remind me of a squirrelly student I taught a little about birds. He became a serious birder and when we were outside, he would ID birds that I couldn't. When I didn't see a killfeer he pointed out, he ran and flushed it so I could share the experience.
