same, after skirmish there's exactly two events I care about up until PT Vegas
have to skip US Nats unfortunately

Is this spicy? I kinda thought it was gonna get hit when cerebellum was revealed, but they ended up hitting high octane instead.
Local pirate necromancers, watch out for foxes
i understand the feeling, kinda why I'm skipping US Nationals despite being qualified, because Vegas seems like it's just gonna be the better event
so for you, if not Vegas, maybe consider seeing where they announce the 100th Calling?
During the last day of Pro Tour Yokohama, I lost a plain black deck box, with a lot of valuable cards. It would really help me if you could share this information to see if anyone has found it and if I can contact them. I'll pay international shipping

I'm aware that my community doesn't really want sage, they want the better format.
The issue is that the better format has only armory decks and the good will of the community as on ramp for entry, and that is not nearly good enough.
Especially when stores are limited on # of armory decks they get
I actually floated trying to do this locally, but it was both not liked and unfortunately doesn't work for the store logistically either.
Currently, I offer a single Sage armory night as at least an attempt to have more people join the game, but hard to tell someone "come back in three weeks" if they just missed it when they joined.
Alternating weekly(or even doing 2:2) unfortunately isn't appealing to anyone either.
In the past, it was always CC, but there was zero actual growth and I'd get comments about "always playing the same people". New players would just leave a week later for whatever reason and it'd end up being same people who've played for years.
im not trying to critique
i just want understanding that it's very much a "damned if i do, damned if don't"
I'm blessed to have an lgs that honestly doesn't give a damn if armory night fails to fire, but other Player TOs trying to support FAB have to also appeal to an LGS store owner as well
It's 100% okay to not be interested in sage/CC, but you are asking for one or the other and despite what my posts might be implying, it's 100% fine to not show up when it isn't your preferred format.
I've long learned that as much as I want to, I can not make everyone happy.
the issue is the average CC armory is 8 players and I got 3-6 players who would no show for sage, there is no opportunity for growth because no new player in their right mind will join a game where their first night is three people including themselves
if I had a 14 person CC armory regularly, I would not be as upset if 6 people told me they won't show for sage because I'd still have an okay # that beats average armory metrics and I get an opportunity to give new players a night to show up the week I run a L2P
i mean i agree they could make it more enticing, or CC more enticing for new players
but as a TO, I got to make do with what we got *now*, i control no levers to make formats better for anyone
yet I'm constantly asked to choose to appeal to enfranchised players or appeal to new players
im not a big fan of sage either
but I'm willing to forgive the format's sins if I get half as many people playing sage as there are people playing riftbound
CC gets old when all you get to play against are players A, B, C & D
might convince the store owner to not move FAB off to fit more riftbound
one of the most depressing parts as a player TO is seeing this happen, because I know everything starts to fall apart as soon as you have a single armory not fire
I'm just trying to have a night or two where it's not the same five players playing and that new players can come join w/o a CC deck
this? Carolina posted this, I'm unsure if the person giving them out has a bsky but they're handing them out at the PT this weekend.
it's $60 for this deck tbf
real shame this isn't a live keynote, just a video at the event
they gonna be pushing these up onto the stage:
There will be 110-130 players playing Kayo in the Silver age portion.

I have a feeling that it's potentially an upcoming product to sell in stores.
To me, that's the only way it makes sense that TCGPlayer(notorious for FAB stuff to be missing/incorrect until submitted) to have it.
lmao
wild how that thing went from working fine to being broken within like a month and is still not fixed almost six months later
in that case, they're doing their damn best at not making this work out to feel a pulse with how they executed it, instead of using the data they have gathered over years from GEM
Time to drive 1700km to my local game store.
shit like this is why I don't think FAB's organized play is as good as everyone says it is
LSS has already been approaching curation of the formats as if the game is a live service game for well over a year. Bryan Gottlieb has mentioned it a couple times in podcast interviews, and in previous B&R announcements as well.
me too
not enough I guess, because I only remember a Prism cosplay I think?
idk
Denied. I think I knew in my heart this was going to be the response, but i pushed myself anyway. My first indicator should have been when pictures were considered optional for entry. I think this is going to have to be the last of my complex builds sadly, can’t do this to myself again. #fabtcg
no idea
I don't think I saw anyone's cosplay at London getting posted either, I really miss seeing the picture of everyone together in cosplay at an event.
Really weird to actually see less cosplays now.
