SCOTUS should toss the Fourth Circuit’s made-up ‘material contribution’ test that stretches contributory liability and pressures ISPs to cut off whole households from the internet on mere accusations of copyright infringement. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
"Listeners should have control of their own data, which includes exporting it for their own use," EFF’s Jacob Hoffman-Andrews told @ArsTechnica.com. "An individual's musical history is of use not just to Spotify but also to the individual who created it."

"You definitely do not have a small penis President Trump."
Google, Meta, and Amazon are among the top companies tracking you across the web. By automatically blocking their trackers, Privacy Badger makes it harder for Big Tech companies to profit from your personal information. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
While police departments say the drones-as-first-responders technology will be used to reduce crime, it could be expanded to other situations such as policing homeless residents and surveilling communities, EFF’s Beryl Lipton told @ocregister.bsky.social.
The Web, as a platform, is as crucial as any public utility, and all web developers should be unionized. #web #unions

Screenshot of a web page displaying 'print(f"{1<5:1<5}")' and I guessed it result in 'True1' but the correct answer is '11111' and it gives the reasoning of "Well that's unexpected. The first 1 < 5 evaluates to True, but for some reason booleans render like integers when padded since they are a subclass of int. So we're padding out to 5 characters, all of which are prefixed by 1."
I've been on Arch since 2017, stopped tinkering years ago and just stick with default KDE stuff

If you can't speak French, you aren't Quebecois.
The deaths come as UNICEF warns of an ‘alarming’ increase in the number of malnourished children in the Gaza Strip.
Trump* not him lol
The #ACLU could file a class action lawsuit (class is all persons with birth certificates) in each state to ensure they join the protection of the 14th ammendment of the constitution, just to shine a legal light on what him and the supreme court ruling kinda just did.

I still have revolutionary aspirations haha, maybe we make the republican party illegal in 2028 you know? Then maybe get a proper libertarian party and a socialist party and let em duke it out for maximum freedoms while the democrat party becomes the conservatives. Wishful thinkin haha
You don't see any hope in Gen Z becoming more socialist? I think Mamdani in NYC may be a good temperature check for young people in the US, and if I had to choose, I think a radical shift into socialist ideas isn't the worst way to achieve a kind of agorist effect, but to capitalism directly
that whole album is good. Those sisters are insanely talented!

The Treasury Dept. and DHS have agreed to allow the IRS to share with ICE taxpayer information of certain immigrants. Weaponizing government data vital to the functioning & funding of public goods and services by repurposing it for law enforcement & surveillance is an affront to a democratic society
A nighttime illustration depicts a towering monument made entirely of human skulls, surrounded by a low fence also adorned with skulls. The base of the monument bears the inscription: “In memory of the victims who were crushed under capitalism.” Two elderly figures stand nearby, mourning. In the background, a crescent moon illuminates a somber sky filled with clouds and birds. Below the image is a caption that reads: “Monument of Skulls.—When the battle between Capital and Labor is over, such a gruesome monument will be a suitable memorial. Two old survivors have come to shed a few more tears in memory of the cruel age of competition.”
Illustration by Paul Krafft for the reverend William Schuler Harris’ Capital and Labor (1907), a treatise on the exploitation of workers by capitalism and the potential solutions in socialism. More here: publicdomainreview.org/collection/c... #mayday
