The AGI religion thing is spot on. It’s Singularity 2.0 - religion for atheist techies. I’m very bullish on AI but I have trouble with that part.

I joined that other site in 2008 and figured out my thing there eventually but it took awhile. Now I’m here and am actively lurking but not sure what to say. It’s a much tighter knit group here which makes it awkward, like going to an intimate dinner party with acquaintances who are close friends.

So am I supposed to talk about what I had for breakfast? What year is it? But it’s cool to see you all. Ugh I’m old.
