So an author's group is suggesting that for a pre-launch checklist, authors should write their own press releases for their books and pitch them to book editors. Is that something people agree with?

It's been getting chilly over here in the UK. Time to wrap up and get warm. ❄️
Ever wonder how people in the medieval period dealt with the cold? I was delighted to talk to the @bigissue.com about it.

So the trailer for the new adaptation of Wuthering Heights has dropped and it's raising a few eyebrows, especially among period drama purists like me.
I spoke with @newsweek.com about why. 👇

I love that with some of my writer friends, we check in on each other and then say instead of goodbye, Happy writing!
I haven't managed to write a chilling villain yet. But what I like most about my villains is that the smarter ones have a back up plan and escape, even after they've been caught. It's often a HFN ending... Or is it?
I love this. I don't write horror, but I like it. I write historical mysteries.
For an origin story I'm thinking... a younger sister wants desperately to be valued but falls in with the wrong crowd, does something stupid for attention and wakes up with a bad case of a curse that sucks her soul...
Hey I've started posting on Substack. Check it out!
This past week was all about the gigs, cocktails and far too much cheese...

I love that
Best/worst line I've written in my WIP today: She looked slightly worried, and was looking around as if looking for someone.
#writingcommunity, what about you?
I chatted with Marcus Walsh from Cybernews about being a creative writer and using AI. Have a read!

My MC Dawn stars in this novel with single POV. She's lovely and sweet, her fav colour is sky blue and she likes dolphins. Wants to be a marine biologist when she grows up, or a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys, whichever comes first.
She's everything I'm not, which is why it was fun to write!
My MC is wholesome and sweet. She just happens to have her life turned upside down. But it'll be fine, really.
Maybe.
Ok, maybe not.

Went for a walk today and ended up picking up litter from my local park. On a side note, how beautiful is this landscape?
