Wow, that's so cool!
I posted about spacecraft knots in 2012! Well, I edited a post by knot tyer David Fred:

The St. Louis Board of Aldermen has approved legislation that blocks most detention facilities from the city for five years.
Yeah, it makes sense and it sucks that pricing structures for these services are like this :(
That's a bummer :( Is there another local library system that still has the service that you could get a card for by chance? Our county library has reciprocal card agreements with several neighboring systems (and a municipal system of city branches) where we can get cards for them also
Good morning and happy Monday! We are starting the week with $1135 left to raise to pay overdue rent and utilities. This is real urgent, folks. Less than two weeks until May's bills are due too.

Tomodachi Life is a delight, I've been adding my favorite books (good and bad) as custom items
A thin sickle moon in the evening sky, glimpsed among the branches of the trees
Moon! 🌙
Noodler's is probably the ink company you are thinking of- I like Vanness Pens for samples but Cardinal Pens (formerly Anderson Pens) and Yoseka sell them also, unfortunately Goulet Pens is probably another source to avoid (owners closely affiliated with a homophobic church 😕)
This sale on all my ebooks in the Quantum Evolution is good for about 12 more hours! Fill up your e-reader today - the 4th novel will be out in October!
Infowars/Onion combo logo in rainbow saying “I support the onion’s hostile media takeover.”
It’s finally happened. After 18 months. Finally, a media merger you can root for.
I only notice the typo after someone's reposted it...
More and more I am seeing "I would never use it for anything creative but I generative AI seems fine for coding" and I wonder if people realize that coding is also a creative field and the generated code is also coming from scraped and plagiarized human code, please don't give coding a special pass
For fuck's sake, sign up for The Onion, and get a free limited edition IW tote.
A share of merch sales will go to the Sandy Hook families, which will be the first time they get any money since they filed this lawsuit eight years ago.
Legal fees have been insane. Please sign up and help us out!
With the help of the Sandy Hook families, The Onion has reached a long-awaited deal to take over InfoWars.
We've enlisted the help of @timheidecker.bsky.social, who will be InfoWars' Creative Director.

This photo shows a cluster of gorgeous blue and purple bluebells poking through a wrought iron gate.
I've been really frustrated not to be able to visit our local woods since bluebell season began, but I was thrilled to spot these rogue bluebells popping up in the garden of our new house like a taste of magic...
Nice, love your color palette!
Yay, Pusheen is so cute
...2020 is here.
2022 coming in a couple of weeks! (Like 2020 and 21, some absolute bangers that year).
Do pick some of these up if they're books you haven't read before. The general vibe of what I'm doing is 'commercial with a ton of craft and a bit of weird'.
2/2
I'm assured by writer friends that one good thing you can do to support them is to buy not just new releases but explore their backlists.
Read SF/fantasy? Like queer stuff? I am part way through a project looking at great queer SFF from the 2020s.
2021 is here, and... 1/2
It is just not tenable for academia or for society as a whole for every professor at a state school in a red state to leave and finds a position in a blue state and every would-be state school student in a red state to leave and attend college in a blue state (with the out of state tuition!) instead
I feel like a lot of the "lol the hypocrisy" takes on this are missing the point that the aim isn't really ever to "retvrn to the classics", it's to destroy the university by making it untenable for professors to do their work in these conditions so they leave and that is unfortunately succeeding 🫤
“suspicion is growing”
“potential”
Someday, with luck and hard work, she will have a name too.
Palantir repeating a central myth behind speculative whiteness: white, western culture produces the high-tech future; other cultures regress into the past.
Farah Mendlesohn's Rhetorics of Fantasy might be of interest- it discusses all three of these (as well as many other works) and the mechanisms by which the fantasy elements are established in the narrative in different parts of the genre, it's a book I think about often!
Thanks! ^^
YALL.
There is a charitable organization in Chicago that donates books to women’s prisons. My boyfriend introduced me to it!!!
Yall support!! This is AMAZING. Women’s prisons do NOT get anywhere near the donations men’s do. That’s why my own organization exists.
