To err is human.

To err continuously is agentic.

Is FDD not the default? Maybe I’ve been doing this wrong all along 🤔

I vaguely remember what that felt like. I hope I get to feel that again someday.

Same 😢. There are people at my company who are convinced that developers shouldn’t be writing any code at all. Meanwhile I am chasing my own tail trying to combat the ever growing mountain of tech debt and complexity risk being churned out at record speed.

This is one of the few newsletters I read consistently. Great stuff

Some life changing stuff! I’m going to be so much more productive now.

I picked this up last week and have been reading through it without coding the examples as a primer.

I’m looking forward to some coding that is purely for the fun of it again.

IANAL but I’ve made the case before that having inaccessible tools internally could result in a lawsuit based on discriminatory hiring practices if someone who is qualified isn’t hired or is let go because they are unable to use the tools for the job.

I’ve had this fight over accessibility too. As if internal apps can just be useless garbage because “it’s only our employees who suffer and we pay them to deal with it”. At least with a11y, I can point out the likelihood of a lawsuit.

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains.

My employer, has been really pushing AI. The other day a dev told someone that the functionality they requested was “impossible” because copilot said so. It was not a complicated request and is in fact quite possible, some (me) would even argue it’s a pretty simple request. 🤦‍♂️

Up bright (quite dark, actually) and early to go get our Christmas tree. Competition for the big trees here is fierce so we need to get to the tree farm early. Feels like 11° F, so that’s fun 🥶

I just picked up the Mindful Design course. It looks super thorough and I’m looking forward to improving some side projects with the new knowledge I’m sure to gain from this.

Today I’m thankful for time away from work to spend with my family. 2025 has been a long, difficult year both at work and in general. I took the entire week off and it’s been a really nice break so far.

Time to do some cooking and then eat too much. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃 🥧

I went through a cocktail phase that started during the pandemic and went a bit overboard so now I have a very thorough collection of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, glassware, etc. and I hardly ever drink anymore 🙃.

But have you even tried to remove dents with a track light? Maybe it’s just sharing a little known life hack? “Body shops hate this one weird trick!”

I switched to paid search on Kagi because I couldn’t take the ads and “AI” results anymore. It’s been a nice change.

This is great! Cross-process interception is going to unlock much better e2e testing for my team. I tried to get there with playwright fixtures but had to set that work aside for other priorities. I would love to not pick that up again 😅

MSW is amazing! Thank you for all the hard work!

That jumbled mess with the Accessibility menu in the mix drives home just how awful this really is.
