and really, a true shame that there isn't more attention paid to a new work from an artist working on this level for this long

The Daily Heller: Making Comics is a Lot Like Acting – PRINT Magazine 'All the Cameras in My Room' is an eclectic mix of stories, each drawn in a different style and told in a different way.

The most novel graphic (novel) I read this year, so far.
Michael DeForge makes comics that capture the messiness, heartache and absurdity of the world. His next book, All the Cameras in My Room coming April 14.

SCOOP: The firing CityNews won’t explain Gone from air, and gone from the web.

Breaking from @policornerca.bsky.social: CityNews has cut ties with Queen’s Park reporter Tina Yazdani, while at least two of her stories about the Ford government have quietly vanished from the web without explanation. www.policorner.ca/p/scoop-the-... #topoli #onpoli

400 dead so far, over 1000 injured, dozens and dozens missing. This is one hour into the massacre. I have no idea what the death toll will be in the end. Also, they have announced “another wave” of attacks coming

the levels of elite impunity we are seeing now and the levels of war crimes we are seeing now are two aspects of the same path of historical development. right now they see war as our problem (and their investment opportunity). it is world historically important that we make war their problem again

everything we are seeing now is the consequence of having a political environment in which indifference to the deaths and suffering of other people - even by the state whose supposed responsibility is to safeguard their welfare - is a superpower rather than a political liability

I guess boycotting Harry Potter feels pretty trivial to me, because I'm an adult. if someone told me I shouldn't eat Gerber's baby food, I'd be like, that is no problem. I'm way ahead of you

one of my favourite bits in Scooter McCrae's excellent Sixteen Tongues is that all the TVs in the hotel play porn constantly and you have to pay to turn them *off*

here's a photo of a Toronto cop brandishing a semiautomatic weapon in the middle of the afternoon to redirect traffic during a protest last week. I counted at least three others with these guns. TPS just announced that we'll be seeing a lot more of this going forward:

It enrages me that the Iran fiasco had basically relegated Israel’s absolutely horrific assault on Lebanon to a sideshow which barely gets noticed. That alone should be a crisis that grips the urgent attention of the entire world and nobody even notices.
