Until I get more space to work in research is as far as I can go with it so far.

Not sure. It's 34cm long though.

It was a first for me too. Lots to compare with styrene.

I want to get my own printer now, but am unsure over filament or resin.
The possibilities are vast!

No idea about scale, it's 34cm long though, so quite big on the shelf. This is the one I got: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/33444517...

Because trying to track down the Halcyon kit was impossible, I got this 3d printed version from Ebay. I used AK markers for the details, some old decals and holographic film for the cockpit. The arms do fold in for storage as otherwise it's quite big on the shelf.

Thanks, they certainly are a different breed.

My first car build, Tamiya's Porsche GT. It turned out trickier than I thought as the chassis might have warped (or my cludgy building) so the top didn't quite fit how I expected it to. Decals were easier than I thought they'd be though. Overall I'm happy with it.

They're easier to work with than panel liners and other washes. I'd never been happy with results previously, but 1st time with oils and it worked out exactly how I wanted.

This is Bandai's A-wing. I really like these kits, loads of detail, they fall together and any extra details can be added if you like. I used oils on this one, and I now regret not using them sooner!

I finally finished the Liberator, made up as "First Sergeant", an assembly ship. I know it's not the right version but it's what I wanted to do. The spots were made with hole punched masking sheets as I found online that the sizes matched for the scale.

Since Die Hard is a Christmas film, a brief thread on my own head canon of how the Gruber brothers disparate bios are tied up in postwar German history.

Got a new addition to the study, now I won't lose track of time so much when at the bench. Bonus inclusion of the bomb shelter in my garden.

Thanks, that's very kind. It's a nice kit to build.

I'll give this a read, thanks.

Thanks! It's been very good. I think the fit on the nose will be my own fault with lining up the interior parts badly. The D-Day story sounds interesting.

Thank you, all ready to hide it away forever πŸ˜‚

Thanks, it'll be tricky to see once it's all closed up.

Thank you, it's all about to disappear forever though πŸ˜‚

Thank you, I looked at a lot of pics and went with versions I liked. Once I close it up it'll be invisible, never to be seen again so any historical inaccuracies won't matter πŸ˜‚

I've made a start on the new Airfix B-24. It's a solid build so far, but I think I'll have a little bit of fettling to do to line up the nose section with no gaps.
