Trans visibility today is something we could only dream about 20 years ago. While there is probably media on the way catering to Trump and his cowardly enablers, I think right now putting a staunch resistance in place is the most important thing we can do.

No question. How do we make that happen?

Missing: what actions can be taken to oppose these things. Not saying I have better ideas, but we need to find a way to effectively stand against such obvious injustice.

Fortunately we have Jennifer Levi and ACLU defending those rights in the courts. A single democratic trans rep in Congress is better off representing us with dignity and encouraging understanding than engaging in a fight she cannot win.

I've always advocated for respecting the peace of mind of those who might be disturbed by our presence. That's not throwing anyone under the bus, it's showing compassion for others, regardless of their misbeliefs. Sarah needs our support, not our criticism. Just saying.
