It finally happened. After three months. She really wanted one last trip to the harbour, eating fish and maybe getting a little something to drink. So i did it for her to honor her memory, while playing digitized versions of her favorite shellac records from her youth.

The moment Phil sings "Let the dance begin" they absolutely destroy the best Genesis song ever made. It is absolutely sad how they couldn't just have made a song without a complimentary prog solo.
To be fair, my favorite Genesis album is A Trick Of The Tail and i believe that Dance On A Volcano could have been the best Genesis song of all time if they had not tried to imitate the Gabriel years.
I'm not dissing Phil here. His drumming on The Cinema Show is absolutely superb and few drummers will ever reach his acclaim. But seriously (no pun intended) PG4 is just the absolute best!
I'm a PG girl. I believe PG4 is better than any Genesis album and there is a reason why Phil played on a PG album and not the other way around.

Alan and i had a falling out because of a stupid misunderstanding and we never reconciled before his untimely passing. Wherever he is now, i hope he will know my gratitude for what he taught me and the inspiration he gave me to continue in his footsteps. May you rest in peace Alan.
