Aw hell YEAH! This motion analysis tech has exceeded my expectations. Rubbing my face in that plant in VR was surreal.

I've probably said it before, but the stuff you do is always wildly impressive, love seeing your posts! And looking forward to being a VR penguin lol
Lol, lmao even
Working on (yet another) update for the Conveyor Kit, next update I'll change the name to "Factory Kit" because from there on it'll also include pipes, lifts, pistons, hoppers and more! #gamedev #gameassets
Haven't been doing much gamedev lately which feels bad, but I don't want to force it either. Fallen deep into the homelab rabbit hole though, and been playing split fiction with the wife, so I'm keeping busy at least lol
A new version of the Conveyor Kit has been released adding; junctions, more details, crane, screens and more!
As always this package is completely free to use in any of your projects, enjoy 🎁 kenney.nl/assets/conve...
Man do I feel that. Haven't done any game dev work in what feels like forever, I've just felt fried by the time I get home
I've made the mistake of going down the homelab rabbit hole and I might need to install Ubuntu

The “Calvin’s dad explains two types” meme, inspired by a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. Clockwise from top left: 1) Calvin’s dad walks into frame to find Calvin trying to operate a record player. The dad says: “There are only two industries left in America: gambling, and fraud.” 2) The dad shows where the record goes, and how to turn on the player, while Calvin watches. Dad says “Derivatives? Gambling. AI? Fraud. Video games? Gambling. Social media? Fraud.” Calvin says “yeah”. 3) With one hand open palm up, Calvin’s dad cheerfully explains to Calvin out of frame below him, “The stock market looks like gambling, but it’s actually fraud.” 4) In bed in a dark room, Calvin clutches at his pillow, eyes wide in existential terror. There is no text in the panel.
Working on an update for Input Prompts, I want it to simply be the best set of icons out there. Adding support for VR, steering wheels, new Steam hardware & much more tweaks. Coming soon ✨

I built an interactive guide on how GPS works!

Alex says "well, economy's fucked. Time to start camming." She asks herself "what's my niche?" She gets an idea. She has set up a sexual version of Cow Tools. Her friend says "I don't get it..."
I love it so far, I also love how in just the first episode we had SO many implications of the magic system. The rules seem strict enough for specific requirements to actually activate, but loose enough you can do cool stuff with it like with the shoes in this scene. Real good
This is it. The FINALE to Digital Circus is coming June 19!!! And as a special surprise... the finale will be screened alongside ep 8 starting June 4th - TWO weeks early - IN US, LATIN AMERICA, JAPAN AND CANADIAN THEATRES! Tickets are available right now!
I think the concept is neat, but also see like no apps actually using it once it's implemented. And then the other issue of it being forced etc of course. Would be different if it was just a passing headline of "Fedora adds optional age API" or something
Yeah the intention seems to be a parent or someone would set an accounts age range, and apps could use the API to check ages as needed, which I think is better then the ID enforcement for all these individual apps, but like you said it's another weird flow for apps.
What sucks is I'm not actually against the concept, an OS level API that lets me set an age and apps can use it to easily verify a rough age range? Sounds great honestly, especially as a parent. The fact that it's being suddenly legally enforced and the laws around it suck? Not so much
I've add a new VFX category on my website which lists some of my VFX-related game assets; Light masks, splats, foliage, particles and smoke!

New #gameassets ✨
I've created 150+ light cookies/masks compatible with all game engines that support this feature. Includes white on black, black on white and white on transparent backgrounds for each. CC0, public domain, all free!

Reminder that these will be released on Wednesday, I still have a few 'slots' open to add light textures - any requests? Let me know!
My old runtime transform saver utility coming in clutch now that I'm once again placing tons of loose objects in the scene. 🫡

I think even the people joking are contributing to the problem. My friends and I have called it the PewDiePie effect for years. Joke about something malicious, it just normalizes it regardless if you actually believe the thing or not. That, and the jokes will become truth at some point
A couple more fun low-poly stylized props. It's super satisfying when the topology just "flows" from the primitive shapes you start modeling with. 😊

Upcoming new #gameassets! I've made 125+ light cookies/masks for use in any engine that supports it. Also great for 2D light effects 🔦 (CC0, public domain)
Will be released Wednesday April 8th 📅
Figured I'd be able to re-implement wall-riding pretty quick-ish. Pretty crude for now, but not bad for an afternoon I suppose. #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame #godot #linux
Just for fun, I decided that instead of killing droplets immediately on impact, I could just kill their momentum, reduce their volume, and let them keep on rolling, and omg, this is freakin' awesome. (Don't try this with a real Godot plushie!) 💦🤖🧸
