They really are, Des. I’ve just posted a link to a short blog about photographs by David Wise that appeared in the Independent Magazine. Have a look when you’ve a minute.

Like David Ford I was struck by David Wise’ photographs in the Independent Magazine in 1990. It’s a short blog worth a read. I remember there was a bit of controversy following publication, accusations of voyeurism, too much heart for that, I think.

Some of these look like they were taken 50 years apart. I hope there’s someone out there today capturing such a ‘time gap’ in how we exist alongside each other. Thanks for the nod, Des.
The reason your In box is unmanageable and you have a thousand unread messages is because making email free effectively eliminated postage stamps. Postage, as we are gradually figuring out, was congestion pricing for communication.
Debut album titled Found.
You’d pay tax on the interest it subsequently earned and be happy to do so, obviously, I’m sure everyone would be happy to do that 🤷🏼♂️

Reading these books was a physical experience, 1974 soaked and froze you through your raincoat and didn’t stop until it reached your skin. 1977 made you squint, dried your sinuses..
Went to the Leeds launch of @stuhennigan.bsky.social’s Keshed on Thursday. Not been to a book launch that better explained how the author, this particular author, lives their motivations, standards, dilemmas, agonies to create the story between the covers. Beautifully exhausting, in fact…Keshed!
Take care and best wishes.

I’d be confident that if Charlie was still around he’d have that haircut still…and would look exactly like the White Lime.
These are ace, Des, the White Lime looks like a cheesy 70s cabaret bloke’s backcombed hair do…I accept I may be devaluing its natural beauty 🤷🏼♂️
Thanks for sharing 😊
Be interesting to know which day it is re-scheduled for, which are our more robust days, days when we’re not flaky, like we are on Wednesdays.
Hopefully we’re not on the same side of the draw, competition deserves a good final.

Have a good trip, Des, don’t spend the whole trip trying to pick up all the places that start with Tully…, you’ll be ‘informed’ a few hours in that it’s not feasible 🙄
