“Defying Legal Limits”. Seriously WTF is wrong with you? Why can’t you just speak the truth in plain English. This sort of obfuscation is not honest and we all know why you do it.

They don't care about a body count along the way to making an ideological point. But more than that, there is a wing of the movement that is decidedly "cull the herd," that thinks taking HGH and god knows what else will save them.

There is still serendipity on the web, just have to make it past the slop layer of google, like scraping off the top layer of guac that's gone brown.

If you’re a tech bro billionaire, you can delete the receding hairline your ancestry has saddled you with and replace it with a tight-knit block of follicular robo-growth, you can change your face, change public opinion en masse with the power of the misinformation you spread via your digital platform and the more moderate and considered voices you are able to algorithmically drown out, send rockets into space, buy yourself a position at the forefront of political life despite being singularly unqualified for such a position. You can, because of all this, probably convince yourself there is in fact nothing you cannot do. But here you will be incorrect. What you can’t do is ever be a reflective, compassionate human being who can grasp, with any feeling, the harm of your actions. The bubble of unreality you have constructed around yourself - the one which no longer contains anyone who tells you the truth - will be too well-insulated for that to be possible. You would probably believe you are enhancing your legacy with each additional chunk of power you purchase if you hadn’t already dismissed the concept of “legacy” due to your conviction that, for yourself (although not for for the minions) you can invent everlasting life. But, despite what you have convinced yourself, one day you will, just like every one else, die. In the final moments, you will be reduced to something frail and helpless. Your billions will not grant you an exemption from that. Maybe right then, in that reduced state, the last thing you will see is the true horror of what you were: the rippling evil of all the choices you could have made with your money and didn’t, and the repercussions for the planet...

I say “I feel that” a lot for someone who hasn’t felt anything for years.

Oh did The Brutalist only use AI for a couple of drawings we see at the end for a few seconds? Wow ok. Sounds like they shouldn't have done it. Throw it in the garbage.

Use the plagiarism machine, get fucked. That's it

on the subject of optics i beseech everyone to take heed that yelling at the developers is both ineffective and makes criticism easy to dismiss because it is broad harassment.

this is a t&s issue.

we need to keep the focus on that. this is a leadership decision. don't yell at the coders jfc.

Civility is the silencer on transphobia

With or without the mask of politesse, people get killed

the problem with takes like “jesse singal is just doing it for attention” is they massively underscore the fact that he is doing it bc he hates trans people

Singal is a uniquely slimy kind of transphobic shitbag. The very embodiment of the faux-concerned "just asking questions," intensely self-righteous, holier-than-thou shitlib, who cries and pisses himself and screams for the manager when anyone dares push back against anything he does ever.

If prosecutors ever enter my posts as evidence against me I’ll insist they include this one.

The bsky team has a choice to make:

- Safeguard the things that made this platform appealing to millions of people, and let them hope that good social media is possible

OR

- Shit their pants

Jesse has spent the last six years promoting the notion that large numbers of children are transitioning without assessment — something for which there is no evidence.

He should be treated like anyone else peddling a false and harmful idea.

"The list names an Army officer who traveled to 14 historically Black colleges to expand recruitment"

Since these people are literally using "woke" to mean "entertained the thought of hiring a Black person," opposition to DEI, affirmative action, etc. should be understood as support for segregation

Vivek Ramaswamy tweet saying “We shouldn’t let the government spend money on programs that have expired. Yet that’s exactly what happens today: half a *trillion* dollars of taxpayer funds ($516 B+) goes each year to programs which Congress has allowed to expire. There are 1,200+ programs that are no longer authorized but still receive appropriations. This is totally nuts. We can & should save hundreds of billions each year by defunding government programs that Congress no longer authorizes. We’ll challenge any politician who disagrees to defend the other side.”
