Photos of a wet and windy day. Final #wellnesswalk of the year. 6 miles across Ilkley Moor with rain, sleet, 35 mph wind and a few bursts of sunshine. Contrary to the old folk song, I did wear my hat and no courting of Mary Jane was conducted.

Yeah, don’t know the Lakes very well but have been to Buttermere a few times. Beautiful place. Need to go back with my walking head on though!! Just finished 6 miles across Ilkley moor. Blowing fierce up there but worth it. Cobwebs well and truly blown away. 😁

I’m going one better - taking a walking guide who I trust has a plastic map! And yes, waterproofs will be tested to the max today. Do you have a favourite walk in the Dales? I’m a bit new to this and trying to get one decent walk a week in.

Yep - made it up there and back. You had much better weather! Currently sat in the car park at Ilkley Moor trying to get the strength to head out for today’s hike. It’s a wet and windy one here today!
