In 1889, Mercedes Pujol donated land on which the city of Temecula built a classic 1-room, frontier-style schoolhouse. The Pujol Schoolhouse served the community for over 25 years. Long Beach Community Hospital, Long Beach, Los Angeles County

Long Beach Community Hospital was completed in 1924. The 1st hospital building had 125 beds. Later expansions added a new wing and specialized units.
