Maybe wise for patients not to use idioms either. Do podiatrists know the term "my dogs are barking" to mean my feet ache?

And placing on the edge of the pavement, where people might avoid it by stepping into the road.

Telling that the people demanding office working because human contact is vital now want to replace their employees with AI.

They are afraid of being accused of talking the country down and being unpatriotic.

They expect the dispatch box to be dragged out from the commons every time.

But it is a sovereign currency!!!

Therefore the outside world does not exist and has no effect on the UK economy.

I have also patented a perpetual motion machine.

No, remember that we can just print money with no consequence.

Mainly poor regulation that allowed poor voltage control. Spain had higher allowable voltage deviations than the rest of Europe, and didn't have adequate contractual arrangements to control it.

True. Of course those objecting to solar farms object to a lot of the upgrade projects.

She was for them too. Prescott had some dodgy dealings with casino owners.

And Prescott's promotion of "super casinos".

Like my sister who shortly after the ref retired to the UK. But couldn't vote.

No. They don't want green energy. They want token developments that make them look good.

They say they don't. All the signs and protests are against them. It is always: build them somewhere else where I can't see them.

Network rail is investigating/using some similar approaches to decouple overhead line supply from grid frequency reducing the risk of trains stopping as occurred a few years ago.
(If they hadn't stopped they might have burnt out transformer on the trains)

One topic I saw on the ENTSO site was potentially splitting large synchronous grids like the continental grid or the smaller UK grid into smaller areas to make them more flexible although slightly less efficient.

Also plain renewal of equipment. The Heathrow grid transformer that went pop was from the 60's.

I haven't finished reading it, but the report on the Spanish outage is interesting although v technical. Management of power grids isn't simple.

Only when it doesn't disturb their life in any way. They oppose all projects of the scale required to deal with the crisis they claim to care about.

Get real. That is nothing to do with the real objections. They don't want green energy production if it upsets their life in any way. It is an excuse from selfish people who don't care about the environment, just the view from the window and their property prices.

No, I've explained why.

It isn't. Her proposals are to make token efforts that don't approach the scale of supply that is required. If it is a crisis, confining generation to the most costly, slow, and complicated methods isn't helpful.

Basically she doesn't want to see solar panels out her window.
