Hit-and-Run Cyclist Victim Dave Martinez Remembered at ‘Ghost Bike’ Ceremony Three dozen cyclists honored Dave Martinez with a 1.5-mile ride on Saturday that culminated in the installation of a bike memorial for the hit-and-run victim, who died Jan. 7 at age 53.

6 years ago tonight, David Martinez was hit by a driver while biking home from work. David didn’t have a car, and his bike was his only way to get home. He later died of his injuries. Tonight, we remember Dave and continue to fight for safer streets.

Why are trump voters still angry? Imagine you've been holding in a shit, and then you shit yourself in an elevator. You're gonna feel good for about 5 seconds until you realize you just shit yourself, and everyone around you is disgusted. You'll try to rationalize it, say that you had to go, that you have toilet anxiety, but it'll never erase the shame. These people shit themselves in an elevator, and they want us to validate that it was okay.
