A federal appeals court is temporarily allowing construction of the $400 million ballroom, despite a lower court ordering a halt due to a lack of congressional approval. Trump’s plan to build a secure bunker under the ballroom may end up being the reason the construction is allowed.
I wonder if she and her husband are no longer able to pay for ACA insurance, since Trump and the Republicans threw out the tax credits which made it much more affordable. 1.5 million people have dropped ACA insurance, and premiums have increased by 114%.
Unfortunately, the courts have just given Trump the go ahead. Sigh!

It’s planned to be 250 feet tall and be placed by the Lincoln Memorial which is 99 feet tall. Once it is constructed and a little time goes by, it will likely win the national award for the most defaced public structure. It will always be a target.

There was a video that came out on Bluesky today which claimed to be from Iran to Trump and Hegseth. In the video, the speaker claimed that Iran had access to all or some of the Epstein files. It was a video that was sophisticated and would have taken time & money to produce.
Yes, he is talking about turning over funding for Medicare and Medicaid “to the states.” All our tax dollars are now supposed to go to his wars, the wars he promised to never wage.

I didn’t completely approve of McCain either, but he was the deciding vote that kept the Affordable Care Act; and he ran an honorable campaign against Obama. He called Obama “a good man.” Trump liked the Russians creating fake videos about Hilary on Facebook. McCain was a saint compared to Trump.
Sadly, as a person who canvassed voters for Kamala, most voters were only comparing Trump’s economy to Biden’s economy. When we tried to warn them about Project 2025, and Trump’s plans to grab power, they were skeptical. Trump is a stone cold liar, too, which is now well proven.

Trump will host one or several of his MAGA, Inc fundraisers at Mar-a-lago. Tickets for these fundraisers are $1 million to $5 million. With this war, Trump now is able to shake down over a 100 corporations that each made millions or billions of dollars during the 20 years of war after 9/11.

It likely is closer to nine million people protesting. Many cities, like Atlanta had a number of smaller protests, not one big protest. There were many, many protests in different cities and towns throughout California. It is doubtful that all the protests and protestors were counted.
Unfortunately, we woke up to learn that Trump is escalating the war in Iran by sending in ground troops. Pretty ironic action for a man who avoided the draft five times by lying about having bone spurs.
Trump’s influence on our country has been horrible. He has taken his supporters down a long ugly road of hate and mistrust of their fellow Americans. Many of them no longer believe that people who do not support Trump are worthy of respect and liking. They believe we are their enemies.

As a former Floridian, Trump has been amazingly lucky to have never had to deal with a hurricane harming Mar-a-lago. Other areas of Palm Beach County have been damaged during the last ten years.
I can’t imagine that Trump has taken any precautions, such as hurricane shutters, etc.
