Yes, I remember walking from Victoria to Euston and being surprised how short it was

Let’s ask John Major to come back?!

Do you think we could ask John Major to return and provide nearly-competent government?

What’s happening to the world, Penny, when I’m nostalgically looking back on the good old days of the Major government?!? 😳

I’m possibly in a minority of 1, but I’d much prefer Ed Milliband 🤔

I’m just wondering if we could make it a condition of planning approval that A proportion of Macquarie’s profits go to recovering the mess they made of Thames Water?

They are concocting a greenwashed nimby argument for the election

…and, I wonder, if possibly their who and how arguments will slip away a day or so after the election?

I look at Leicester, and I see a cautionary tale for those who constantly want Parish to bee more ambitious! 😱

Could someone write an article about the scope of regenerative farming to greatly reduce the need for gas/oil based fertilisers?

What worries me, as a member of the Green Party, is not the moments my leaders stick to some daft sounding value, but is the increasing number of moments when my leaders appear to support others’ views, for a moment, so as to get their vote! 😔

We have had, since WWII, a hard road to walk.
John had been a major, celebrity prophet,
But then he met the adult Jesus and realised that
“He must increase, but I must decrease…”
John managed it, I suspect that 70 years after Suez, we’re still struggling
😔

I think you’re missing a key dynamic: the Dick Barton seeking voter.
The vague hope that “with one bound out hero was free”
The centre, including Lib Dems have clearly shown that they don’t have an effective “one bound”, so people vote for one of the two options who haven’t had a chance yet to fail.

Possibly because we don’t sell any arms to Israel? When I last checked we sold components to American companies who then sell to Israel. This makes the ethics more complicated as we would be letting down an allied customer, not the violent Israeli government.

Erm..
Dear mr @mrjamesob.bsky.social
Have you thought through the little detail that the Hungarians had to suffer 16 years if Orban before they managed to get rid of him
The country implication?
Will we have Farage for 16 years?

Hey! They’re no mugs! There’s even talk of them discussing the wisdom of attacking Iran with their European and Gulf State allies!

Not sure that it the top strata ever suffer the consequences of technological change. The problem will be for the aspiring middle. People who will never be titans but who do want to better themselves/families.
There will always be the grand, the warehouse and car staff, but a ladder between?
