If our query is chosen, will we receive an email as well?
I understand, thank you for answering ๐
Hii, just saw this. What if I m not a US citizen (and I m not living in the US either)?
Woah, now i wanna read them too ๐
O, I thought if there are two editors who want the same ms the author gets to pick them
Thank you so much ๐๐๐
I ve looked through some books, but i haven t seen the short vs long sentences distinction, although i ve heard about it and sometimes I felt that I could rephrase some sentences but it wouldn t make much difference probably, and having just short sentences for one character would sound odd
Speaking faster doesn't seem like something that can be conveyed by the pov, but rather something conveyed by a dialogue tag, unless it's by making sentences sound more urgent?
What are a few ways in which they could speak/move?
Hii. What's the easiest way to make povs distinctive when writing in dual pov (girls, but not love interests)? Thank you for taking questions, i hope your kid feels better soon ๐
Wait, but what does that mean "breakdown of genres for traditional publishing print sales"? Genuinely shocked by how little YA books are. Is this how many YA books are sold in print in comparison to the other sections?
This is such a cool idea, let me steal it please
Mine: 50% strong female friendship 50% soft fmc who go feral to protect what they love #revpit
Logline: When her beloved dog is stolen, a peasant girl is willing to do whatever it takes to get it back.
I can't choose i love the first three so much ๐๐
Thank you so much for answering โก
So I'm actually pretty anxious because I found your meettheeditor thread from last year andyou said you didn't like rural romance in contemporary Is this also true for historical/fantasy?My second POV character is a peasant girl who falls in love with a nobleman soldier-kinda love at first sight
Thank youu
Oh, God, I put my question in the first thread, sorry and thank you for still taking questions. Fairytale retellings (Alice in Wonderland low fantasy)? Dogs? Sicilian setting (it's based more on traditional games and songs, the history is fictional and i will have Sicilian sensitivity readers)?
Thank you for answering. It must have been great from the start.
Hii. I m curious if you had queried the book before entering it into RevPit
I don't know if you re still taking questions, but in case you do: fairytale retellings (Alice in Wonderland low portal fantasy)? Dog in the story?

So what are the things that indicate a story's voice is developed? How can you tell in just one paragraph if the story has a strong voice?
Would you choose a least voicey ms if the other elements on ur wishlist are met (character, sensory details, intrigue etc.)? Honestly, you were the first editor I chose and the only one where I knew from just the mswl that we could be a great fit.
Hii. Do you look at the question about why we chose you as an editor in all submissions? Your mswl overlaps with my book in a lot of ways (including folk songs) and I didn't include all of them in the query (but i could if you think i should). Also, how do you feel about dogs in stories?
Oh, i'll be fast asleep at that time :( it's going to be 1.30 am where I live
