I'm trying the 3D for a few weeks now and have been liking it quite well. There are quite a bit of minor inconveniences coming from Unity but it looks very promising!
This one was an inspiration screenshot from #Skyrim that I came across on a Google search. It's their version of a ghost shader.
One detail to note is these are two different meshes. The inner one is from a Blender file and is the actual model. The outer one is a duplicated Blender file that had Solidify modifier applied to it to have a thicker mesh. I wonder if I could use one mesh and apply a thickness via the shader...
Lately I've gotten myself into learning #Godot and shaders in general. So here's my latest update: This one uses the same mesh with two different shaders. The thicker outer layer is just a color and some transparency put into EMISSION channel. The inner layer uses Fresnel with a gradient alpha.
In good old dev fashion here's my "Hello world!"
