Dont worry so much about different vocal sounds or funny voices, just get better at acting and expressing emotions.

Also doing some stage acting doesn't hurt, ir at the very least practicing lines with a friend.

There are many things you can do.

Find a monolog you like, quote from a show or movie, or a conversation you have had.

Go over it, try voicing both sides of the scene.
