"Not buying one of these" -> "Bought all of them"?

SpaceX is largely still in California as most of the staff won't move to Texas. Head office has gone but all the Falcon and Dragon manufacturing is staying in Hawthorne. With these new buildings, it looks like at least one is a local post-sale vehicle maintenance site.

I did open mine from Reform, but only because it had my name and address printed on it so it needed to go through the shredder. The shredder isn't always happy to digest an envelope with folded up contents...

Another 800+ years before she could even consider being English.

As of this moment, the human race has lit more than $1.4t on fire to immanentize this eschaton, and it remains stubbornly disimmanentized. How much more do we need to spend before we're certain that god isn't lurking in the word-guessing program?

AP Shift from the days of the BBC at Alexandra Palace and all TV being live. The pattern meant the same people would be working for the big weekly drama and its (live) repeat,

I used to work in broadcast TV on AP Shifts, Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. 12 hour work days nominally 8am to 8pm or midday to midnight. When the TV jobs went away, 9-5 Monday to Friday felt like very short days but there were so many of them.

Not sure if it was cut, but it became a cost centre so programmes had to pay when they wanted to check something. Paperwork meant fewer requests were made.

Did they check it's not one of those games where the winner is the first to get rid of all their cards leaving the other players with the whole pack?

NASA photo of Artemis II, Integrity, splashing down. The sea is dark blue. Artemis is a tiny shiny object hitting the water. There are three parachutes with white and red stripes, and white shroud lines.

In fact... In an actual NASA image the chute on the right has all the stripes aligned, the one at the bottom has the centre panel rotated and the top one has both the centre panel and the outer ring offset.

The parachutes usually do have mis-matched patterns so they can be individually identified in photographs, especially if there is a problem with one of them. In this case the question should be why are two of the patterns identical.

Series 10 was late 2020 so recorded under Covid restrictions. Other contestant type programmes in that timeframe involved cast and crew being kept in isolation for a week or two beforehand and for the duration of recording. The schedule may also have been compressed so little downtime.

London was there before the Romans turned up, 2000+ years. England is a mere youngster at 1100 years or so.

Welcome to the multi-coloured side. :-)

Makes life so much easier even if you're just doing change at height filament swaps.

Wondering how Portugal gets to take delivery, but it looks like the ship is small enough to use rivers and canals to get across Europe rather than being subject to the warship block on the Bosphorus.

My sister compained to me and our brother while shredding mum's bank statements. "Who on earth keeps all their old bank statements?" she demanded. "Ummm..." replied both of us. "Humph, I'm clearly adopted" was her final response.
