One of the things that personally drives me crazy in the U.S. is how youth sports/athletic activities went from a part of the public good (municipal leagues and fields! rec centers! public parks!) to a privatized, expensive, highly competitive, highly structured pursuit for wealthy kids’ résumés

Going through my lore I found the copy I got just after 9/11.
President Trump and Republicans’ national sales tax is the largest middle-class tax increase in a generation. All while they cut taxes for the wealthy.
This will increase costs by more than $5,000 a year for the average family. We need smart trade policies, not reckless ones.
From an operational security perspective, this is the highest level of fuckup imaginable. These people cannot keep America safe.
