Oh man, you’ve still got a couple of years? My 40th is in a couple months. I’m thinking I rent a pool and everyone just floats face up until the sun takes our sight.
Wait, how did I get on the list but you didn’t? This is a crime!
By these fuckers’ logic, the country as a whole is ruled out of a bunch of low-population red states, putting the US as a whole under hostile occupation.
They’re popular among Jewish New Yorkers, and Jews definitionally HAVE to root for an underdog.
Ergo, the Mets must be perennial underdogs.
Honestly, the best solution is probably to use images of ASCII art with standard, descriptive alt text. I know that sort of defeats the purpose of ASCII art, but I don’t think any other solution is going to be screenreader-friendly.
Shito also varies a lot by ethnic group. I love them all, but my favorite is Ga shito, which I’ve always found sweeter and more savory than others (while still having plenty of heat!)
Contrast that with kenkey, where I staunchly prefer Fante to Ga.
Ah, I think both have kpakpo in them, but they’re front and center in kpakpo shito.
Here’s a shito recipe: www.splendidtable.org/story/2017/0...

You sure that’s kpakpo shito? It sounds more like part of what I’ve always heard referred to as just “shito,” which is usually a red or brown sauce with a thicker, grainier texture and a more savory flavor profile.
Oh, and green pepper sauce (kpakpo shito). That one is pretty much straight hot pepper with some oil and, I think, ginger, garlic, and onion.
Jollof is nice, but I think the most legendarily spicy Ghanaian foods are their soups. Nkwan (“light soup”) varies, but can get to a near infinite level of spicy, if so desired.
Fair point. Meanwhile, the spiciest thing my people regularly use is horseradish. Thankfully, she trained me up before my first visit.
I thought this until I started dating a Ghanaian. Turns out there’s no pepper she can’t handle.
I think sometimes we’re not as cautious in assessing the sturdiness of some of those building blocks as we could be.
I’d love to see someone try. Is it possible to follow the rules in the Torah as written, with zero interpretation?
We all know the answer, but I’d still tune in.
Alas, it is empty, for I have already given the money that was in it to our wife, who is also us.
There’s a difference in how the Talmud is seen, sure. It’s not “legally binding” the way it is among the Orthodox. In this way, Reform Judaism is perhaps drawing a bit from Karaite Judaism in this respect.
It’s still considered important to study and understand, even if they then diverge from it.
I’ve always enjoyed my dad’s for its simplicity.
“Never boring.”
You can’t just claim “aspic” as a whole when particularly unsavory variants, such as p’tcha, exist.
In my personal life.
Also, the word we’re referencing is derived from the endonym, and is expressly derogatory.
I’m not sure how that Wiki article is drawing the presumptions it is from the linked sources. They demonstrate official uses of the word in the UK, but there’s no indication that the official government usage reflects in-group attitudes.
You didn’t “ask,” you told her what she SHOULD do. You’re also ignoring that you’re part of a tremendous majority expecting personalized labor from a minuscule minority.
Time spent individually instructing you would be better spent advocating broadly, but you’ve decided that you take precedence.
I’ll note, I celebrated surviving a Muay Thai smoker. I don’t need to become a local champion, or even expressly win, to celebrate what I’ve done, thanks.
Also, do we even know how many people were competing? Like, if I was third in the Boston Marathon, you bet your ass I’m celebrating.
The idea of it being a religious conflict also indicates to me that they haven’t engaged much with Palestinians on their own oppression. In my experience, they’ve viewed their current circumstances as an extension of their troubles with the British, not a uniquely religious matter.
We’d literally have no time to live.
Stop expecting your critical thinking to be spoon fed to you. Learn to do it yourself.
You realize literally anyone can post to social media pretending to be an authority, yes? It’s on you to learn how to weed out the bullshit.
It is not on the 0.2% of the world’s population that is Jewish to campaign around our image against the significantly larger swath of antisemites.
This is nothing but you assuaging a wounded ego.
