Also: Peter Mandelson was seen having a piss outside George Osborne's house, and has been much more pally with several Tories than he has been with even *Brownies* in Labour, let alone anyone on the actual left.

Lord Mandelson and his bug-eating renfield, Health Sec. Wes Streeting
100k NHS staff made redundant with no plan, no audit, no impact assessment and no way of knowing how they were going to pay the redundancies. The result will absolutely be more deaths, more delays and more hospital scandals.

Dracula and Renfield
You can tell it was Peter Mandelson’s project because it isn’t a political operation that dabbles in bungs and influence peddling. It’s a bungs and influence peddling operation that dabbles in politics.
Henry Hill: [Narrating] For us to live any other way was nuts. Uh, to us, those goody-good people who worked shitty jobs for bum paychecks and took the subway to work every day, and worried about their bills, were dead. I mean, they were suckers. They had no balls. If we wanted something, we just took it. If anyone complained twice they got hit so bad, believe me, they never complained again.
As I said all along: shit gangsters. Shit gangsters all the way down.
I won’t relitigate the whole thing but: all that shit you saw play out this morning? That was the whole point of the exercise, the reason why Mandelson and McSweeney recruited Sir Keir as their vocalist, the reason why it’s now all so desperately bleak and corrupt. Because these lads had to get paid
A member-led, left wing party could set its own policy, so it had no use for zillionaire bungs. A member-led party didn’t need post-politics gigs with Drax or PWC, it didn’t need contracts with Palantir. And Morgan was very, very clear with the journos that this was unacceptable to him.
The *entire Starmer project* needs to be understood as one big Jobs For The Boys operation. That’s why McSweeney - Labour’s squillionaire bungs officer - spent 2017-19 running around telling dejected MPs to hold tight, because he was going to hook them back up with their clout, status and freebies.
Flying_Rodent @flying_rodent Other political organisations in the west can't behave like this because their terrible behaviour would be explained to the public in detail and would blow up huge scandals. That's not what happens in the land of jailed postmasters, crushed football fans and dead haemophiliacs. Paolo Gerbaudo @paologerbaudo • 54m Suspending candidates for liking tweets is surreal. It's not even sanctioning speech, but basically sanctioning a click and the implicit opinion behind it. Quite close to Orwell's Thought Police. Also, I don't know of any other political organisation in the West that does this.
Flying_Rodent@flyingr....30/05/2024 g Huge scandals in Britain do not blow up over appalling behaviour in public office. They blow up when some politician has outlived their usefulness and needs disposing of, or when an uppity minority or political group offends our media/political class and needs to be stomped on. 2092 l18K只 Flying_Rodent @flying_...30/05/2024 S••• To pick just one thing: in other countries, partisan media would leap on any kind of bad behaviour by rival parties and exploit it. That doesn't happen here because the British political/ media class is monopolitical: it has a shared interest in stomping upon particular groups. 1711 075 1121K WI Flying_Rodent @flying_r...•30/05/2024 S ••• The Tories and the Tory press won't kick off about Labour stomping on the left, about it fearmongering over protestors, Muslims and transgender people. Because Britain's political/ media class is united in stomping down upon those people in unison. They're all the same, on that.
For non-Brits: this kind of stuff can only happen because Britain has some of the world’s most highly-evolved crackpot politics, which everyone simply accepts not only as normal, but as the only way things could ever be. How did this happen? Well, we have a pretty unique political/media system.
Maybe at this stage Starmer's best bet is to change tack and say he was actively trying to turn the diplomatic service into some sort of rehabilitation of offenders scheme.

About that Palantir school-shooter manifesto
bsky.app/profile/clea...
‘just how central was Peter Mandelson to the Starmer project’ is a question that is becoming increasingly close to being permissible, and I think Starmer is 100% done once it starts being asked
To curry favour with the Epstein class?
… and was the driving force behind an organisation that just published a school-shooter manifesto getting contracts given them total access to our NHS and security establishments

So now we've established that Mandelson is a corrupting force that sullies everything and everyone in his sphere of influence, what are we going to do about the fact he hand-picked the entirety of Labour's 2024 intake of new MPs?
It's the classic Mel Gibson and Jesus meme where Mel is on set in normal clothes casually chatting to a very bloody Jesus (for those of you who don't know it).

Keir Starmer announced Mandelsons appointment on the 20th December 2024
Olly Robbins took up his job at the foreign office on the 8th January 2025
But Starmer wants us all to believe it was Robbins fault
This war is so damn confusing. It’s why we shouldn’t let drunks and dementia patients run it.

Wow, can @labouruk.bsky.social MP @tomhayesmp.bsky.social give any reason why he’s taking @greenparty.org.uk leaflets from properties?
This is unacceptable.

The economic damage caused by Brexit may be almost double the 4% impact assumed by the OBR, the Resolution Foundation has revealed.
We have to go through all this rigamarole because none of them can just say the obvious out loud, which is that these people helped him ratfuck Jeremy Corbyn, and these positions were their reward for that regardless of whether they were suited to them or not.
So is being bezzies with a child-molester a prerequisite for the role of ambassador these days?
Any of your anonymous sources got a view on that?
Steven Swinford @Steven_Swinford 1m Sir Keir Starmer tried to make his director of communications - who had publicly supported a paedophile - an ambassador, Olly Robbins revealed This is a problem for Starmer, to put it mildly. He was already under pressure over his eventual decision to elevate Matthew Doyle to the Lords It means that Keir Starmer attempted to appoint two men who had friendships with sex offenders as ambassadors. It comes back to the fundamental question of his judgement The fact that No 10 told Robbins not to inform Yvette Cooper that he was considering an ambassadorship for Doyle is really quite something. Presumably No 10 inferred that Cooper would not appove of Doyle's appointment
Steven Swinford @Steven_Swinford ***BREAKING*** Sir Keir Starmer considered giving Matthew Doyle an ambassadorship, Sir Olly Robbins reveals He says that in March 2025 Number 10 initiated discussions with him about finding an opportunity for Doyle, who was then the prime minister's director of communications He says he was under 'strict instructions' not to discuss it with Yvette Cooper, the foreign secretary He said he found it hard to explain to colleagues what Doyle's credentials would be for a senior mission role. He says he felt uncomfortable about it and that it would have been hard to defend Doyle was elevated to the Lords. My colleague @Gabriel_Pogrund subsequently revealed that he publicly supported a sex offender after he had been charged
lolololololo
Steven Swinford @Steven_Swinford 4m Olly Robbins' bombshell evidence so far: * The Cabinet Office suggested there was no need to vet Mandelson *at all* * No 10 applied 'constant pressure' on Mandelson to approve Mandelson's appointment and took a 'dismissive' attitude to vetting * Mandelson was given access to the FCDO building, to low classification IT and to 'higher classification briefings' before he was granted security clearance * No 10 showed **no interest** in the actual vetting. The entire focus was on getting Mandelson to Washington as quickly as possible
lol
