Did the sculpture forget the bag of shredded cheese?
Star Trek The Original Series scene. We're in a CORRIDOR! A room door is open, and we see two crewmen spilling out into the hallway in red and blue uniforms. They are otherwise indecipherable tho because they are entirely enveloped in a big cloud of smoke. It's pouring out all around them and into the hallway area, like there's a Phish concert in there. Closed caption reads, "[COUGHING]"
I'm hoping for widespread spontaneous fireworks
A grid photo of 16 different characters all played by the legend Tim Curry.
Tim Curry, the absolute legend, turns 80 today. This man took huge swings.
Future CPSC PSAs will be, "Secure the carpets in your home to make sure your home robot avoids trip hazards."
What if the curse was to be human? 🥀✨🐾
A picture of a library shelf with a small rolled up note on it. The note says “read this” in child’s handwriting.
A picture of the note unrolled. In the same child’s handwriting it reads “beware of the future!!”
Still thinking about this note I found in the children’s section of the public library when I worked there back in 2018. This kid tried to warn us…
Not his hole.
A bounce house with razor sharp teeth and tentacle wings flying off the ground. A family runs away in terror. The father shouts, "it's taking flight! The son shouts to the family dog, "Sparky! Wait for us!" Sparky shouts back in perfect human language, "Nope!" The text reads: Never use a bounce house if it's windy. Wind speed should be no more than 15 to 25 miles per hour. Make sure your bounce house is properly staked and anchored on a flat, even surface.
It's Bounce House season.
The Calvin's dad explaining records meme. He is explaining that the two kinds of meme are Calvin's dad and Loss. Despite being a meme about Calvin's dad, this one is Loss.
"Magataotao" on Twitter writes: "I am Catholic. This👇is not my Pope." Attached is a video of the Pope saying that we should search for peace and reject war. A community note under their tweet says: "You are not a Catholic if you do not accept the Pope, but rather a schismatic. Canon 751: “Schism is the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff,” ie. the Pope. https://www.vatican.va/archive/cod-iuris-canonici/eng/documents/cic_lib3-cann747-755_en.html"
first in my bloodline to see someone get excommunicated by a community note
I'd eat 10 lbs of asparagus

Okay CTA. This is a good sign.
Installation cost was about $13k in 2022 and last two years average monthly electric usage (all electric house) was about 1,200 kw-hr/month. Max usage is Jan/Feb at about 2,000 kw-hr/month, low is typically around 700 kw-hr if not using heat or AC. 1300 sq ft brick ranch.
one software solutions engineer bluntly summed it up to me as: "ML to me implies they trained an algorithm on a robust dataset to provide tangible benefits in the real world, while when I hear AI, I think they've just slapped their company logo on top of ChatGPT"
Lower cost option might be to get your oil burner converted to gas. I replaced my oil furnace in my 1950s era home with a cold weather rated heat pump four years ago and it's been great. If you have a 200 amp service a heat pump might be a good option.

You know your SCADA system is secure when the sticky note with the username and password is on the inside of the cabinet.
Judas Iscariot was paid 30 pieces of silver for turning Jesus Christ in to the Roman authorities. But he made nearly 10 times that amount by placing a Polymarket bet accurately predicting the day of Christ’s death.

Earth and Moon from DSCOVR NASA's Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) aboard the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite captured this unique view of the Moon as it moved in front of the sunlit side of Earth last month. This view shows the fully illuminated “dark side” of the moon that is never visible from Earth. Ian Regan processed this version of the image to account for the Moon's motion. NASA / NOAA / Ian Regan
I hadn't seen this before. This is pretty remarkable.
