This type of support completely backfired in the Canadian election.

I challenge everyone to name 28 other films in cinemas at the moment without using a search engine or AI. In fact just name 10.

@rory-stewart.bsky.social and @alastaircampbell2.bsky.social are you STILL going to stay on X? You seem to have put your 'reach' ahead of the racism and hatred up to now. But are you OK with X generating more revenue through Deepfake Porn? #setanexample

I thought it was more than a little ironic that their main point is to complain about the number of people leaving!

You have a typo. The graph is 2024 not 2025.

Misleading headline. Although the text in the article is correct the headline writer got it wrong.

If you live outside a country that doesn't benefit from the global reserve currency + secure, safe banking services you may feel differently. 180+ countries do not have that and benefit hugely from stable coin. Also, it is estimated that over $2trillion cash annually is laundered to support crime.

I understand, but Iran is probably the only country calling for the elimination of another. Khamenei has repeatedly stated Israel should be “wiped off the map”. Iranian government have introduced a draft bill obliging the government to work toward destroying Israel within twenty years.

UK and India agree ‘landmark’ trade deal after three years of negotiations Deal could help UK industries hit by Trump tariffs, as ministers say it will add £4.8bn a year to economy by 2040

It took three years. Trade deals are not easy.

Turnout was around 30%. Unlikely this is representative of what would happen four years from now in a general election.

It may be helpful to read some of the 80+ studies linking poor health outcomes to that classification. As I said, the broad categorization makes it difficult to find very specific hazards, although I suggested 2 that are repeatedly correlated. And yes that does show where more study should be made.

The attempts to find out what within UPF is the danger have suggested emulsifiers and extrusion are the most likely culprits. An ingredient that changes the gut microbiome. And a process that can generate carcinogens such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), acrylamide, furan etc.

Ultra processed food (UPF) = NOVA class 4. My point remains that there is a clear definition of UPF. Class 4 also contains ingredients and processes that cannot be replicated in the home. Maybe NOVA 4 is too broad but there have been repeated studies suggesting a hazard of something in that group.

Ingredients like invert sugar, interesterified oils, hydrolyzed proteins, soya protein isolate, and mechanically separated meat are not available for home cooking.

Techniques like hydrogenation and extrusion which require industrial equipment are not possible in a home kitchen.

Yes, I had thought that too. Adding more senators representing voters in Canada (6 with your suggestion) and reallocating the 435 representatives in the house to accommodate 41M Canadians would seem to be the opposite of what the GOP would want.

It isn't meaningless. Studies like this use the NOVA food classification system. It is used in nutrition research and public health policy to show health impacts of food processing. It provides a framework for understanding dietary patterns based on processing levels rather than nutrient profiles.

True. But it is also worth looking at the amount shipped from January to now compared to prior years. It was very substantially higher; implying a significant amount of stockpiling in anticipation of tariffs. How long will the stockpiles last? How much of that was big companies vs small businesses?

I don't think that distinction matters to the constituents the message is aimed at. Public money is being stolen, public money that was designed to be used by people in need and people who have retired. If the fraud could be reduced then the medicaid/care budgets could be reduced or reallocated.

Sharing because there is fraud on a huge scale. It is a real thing. The previous administration set up a task force to combat it. They published a guidance document still on the CMS web site. Benefit recipients are not the source of the fraud, unethical medical providers are. But it is still fraud.

Your trade adviser, Peter Navarro, says 90 deals in 90 days is possible. We're now 13 days into the point from when you lifted the reciprocal, the discounted reciprocal tariffs. There's zero deals so far. Why is that?

No, there's many deals.

When are they going to be announced?

You have to understand, I'm dealing with all the companies, very friendly countries. We're meeting with China. We're doing fine with everybody. But ultimately, l've made all the deals.

Not one has been announced yet. When are you going to announce them?

I've made 200 deals.

You've made 200 deals?

100%.

Can you share with whom?

Because the deal is a deal that I choose. View it ditterently: We are a department store, and we set the price. I meet with the companies, and then I set a fair price, what I consider to be a fair price, and they can pay it, or they don't have to pay it. They don't have to do business with the United States, but I set a tariff on countries.
Some have been horrible to us. Some have been okay. Nobody's been great. Nobody's been great. Everybody took advantage of us. What I'm doing is I will, at a certain point in the not too distant future, I will set a fair price of tariffs for different countries. These are countries-some of them have made hundreds of billions of
dollars, and some of them have made just a lot of money. Very few of them have made nothing because the United States was being ripped off by every, almost every country in the world, in the entire world. So I will set a price, and when I set the price, and I will set it fairly according to the statistics, and according to everything else.

I'm just curious, why don't you announce these deals that you've solidified?

I would say, over the next three to four weeks, and we're finished, by the way.

You're finished?

We'll be finished.

Oh, you will be finished in three to four weeks.

I'll be finished. Now, some countries may come back and ask for an adjustment, and I'll consider that, but l'll basically be, with great knowledge, setting-ready? We're a department store, a giant department store, the biggest department store in history. Everybody wants to come in and take from us. They're going to come in and they're going to pay a price for taking our treasure, for taking our jobs, for doing all of these things. But what I'm doing with the tariffs is people are coming in, and they're building at levels you've never seen before. We have $7 trillion of new plants, factories and other things, investment coming into the United States. And if you look back at past presidents, nobody was anywhere near that. And this is in three months.

Will you call President Xi if he doesn't call you?

No.

You won't?

Nope.

Has he called you yet?

Yep.

When did he call you?

He's called. And I don't think that's a sign of weakness on his behalf.

But you would think it's a sign of weakness if you called him?

I don't-I just look-

Well, what did he say?

If people want to-well, we all want to make deals. But I am this giant store. It's a giant, beautiful store, and everybody wants to go shopping there. And on behalf of the American people, I own the store, and I set prices, and I'll say, if you want to shop here, this is what you have to pay.

NEW: TIME publishes interview with Trump.

This is a REAL section of the transcript.

It is impossible to read this and not conclude that Trump is suffering profound, cognitive decay.
