Some brown card packaging ripped apart and flattened with a magnet and metal disk sitting on top.
Poundland now sell things branded "Let's connect". They make no claims in that direction but for me brown cardboard packaging like this is 'eco coded'.
It has a magnetically closed flap. To recycle it you have to rip out the magnets and little metal disks.
This annoys me more than it should.

I've not run it on a Pi 4 but can only assume it would be. It was perfectly usable on a 3 for me.
Until recently I ran it on a Pi 3, it had been running for years. Noticeably slow to start up and some laggy bits in the interface but it did its job.

The side/garden wall of a London street. It is painted with cats, birds and fireworks and a view through the wall to path into a green vista with blue skies.
On my road there's a guy who paints "folk art" on the side of houses and he's doing a big piece on his garden wall today.
A number of the nearby houses have this on, it's kind of cute and livens up the dull Victorian terraces.
I'm down the Hackspace today and may faff about with the Hacky Racer motors and gearbox.
Or I might just drink tea and relax until the hordes show up this evening.

For _reasons_ this also involved my reprising a character from a decade ago, Dave Smith legendary guitarist with world-conquering heavy metal band Imothep, as an NPC. Who also, secretly, fights crime.
David ran a "Batman '66" themed game with all the players as GCPD officers facing a bad day at the opening of a grand exhibition at Gotham City Museum targeted by various classic villains.

This weekend was @uklta.bsky.social 's first #LARP, Recon. It was an anthology made of multiple ~3h games.
We have a history of doing slightly silly games that's been neglected in recent years but there was a welcome return to silliness at Recon. I revel in silliness, when a game demands it.

Decent but not outstanding. Very good that it's positive, emotional and hopeful with funny and sad sections but also there are no huge surprises (no I haven't read the book) or unexpected tension. Great work from the cast just somehow a bit too polished and safe. Mostly made me want to read the book
Sorry for the jump-scare, but there were no posters at the cinema.

I took advantage of a quiet Tuesday at the Hackspace to work on the Hacky Racer a bit. Now I feel good to turn this bundle of wires into something we can mount in the Hacky.
I'll be holding down the fort at the Hackspace today. May also do some work on the Hacky Racer, but it's always too easy to get sidetracked by something else.
A 2280 MVME SSD
In my local CEX they had a "1TB M.2 SATA" SSD lurking at the back of the shelves at a not unreasonable price.
Having mulled over picking it up, because modern games are _big_, I went back today figuring it would be slow but OK. They handed over this Gen3 NVME, which is almost unused.
Total win.
